  1. I just wanted to say thank you to everybody who ordered lately. I just spent the last few hours going through emails and Pm's. So please forgive me if I missed yours or I typed a short answer. I will be shipping stuff out over the next week but its going to take me a while to get everything shipped. I appreciate your patience and your business. Thank you!
  2. No need to apologize. Thank you guys for the orders. Sorry if the website was a pain
  3. I think your good Adam, if not I will get it sorted out
  4. I had to shut it down for a few minutes to sort through the orders and get things marked out of stock. Its back up now
  5. With those orange fins, they also make a good golden shiner
  6. Very cool video, I really liked the rod camera view. Thanks for posting it!
  7. There was no charity on the first auction. The 2nd auction was to help out a guy with medical bills. As a bait maker, I have not found the perfect answer to flippers yet. I tried a waiting list with no money up front and that worked ok but when it takes months to fill an order guys might not have the money when its done. If you take money up front then guys get upset when it takes a long time. In a perfect world a bait maker could just make enough baits to fill all the demand and then there would be no flipping. Unfortunately it doesn't work like that. It takes a long time to make a good bait and if the word gets out that its catching fish then the guy gets swamped. Flippers are just part of the industry. If you have enough patience to wait long enough, you will eventually find the bait you want at reasonable price, or be able to get one from the bait maker at retail.
  8. No list yet. I hope to start production soon. Then I will decide if I do a list or just first come first serve
  9. Wayne that's a great on the water fix. Stephen Pm sent
  10. Its probably been at least 3 years since I sold those so I am guessing the bait might have gotten a little tweaked. Look down at the top of the bait and see if the joints are straight when you move them from back and forth. If they are a little off you can straighten them by pushing them. If they look straight to you then send it to me and I am sure I can make it right.
  11. Thanks for the review Wayne. The color that Wayne has will not be available. I was just experimenting with that swirl pattern. They will come in natural color patterns. I am close to starting production and the only change from Wayne's prototype will be a stiffer line tie. The one used on his bait is a little to easy to bend.
  12. Its been a long time since I made any of those. Did it always stick or has this just started happening?
  13. I mostly use owner st41 on all my hard baits except for my smaller baits. I am curious as to what hooks you would like your baits to come stock with?

    Matt shad

those old shad have been discontinued for a while. The bait that Bigbasser is fishing is a new prototype 5 inch shad
  15. It does not dive deep. Maybe 2-3 feet if you crank it down with the rod pointed down. It is pretty buoyant so it wants to wake but you can make it crank a little if you try. It does both well.
  16. I also saw the negative comments. Funny thing is, the comments were made by guys who were not members. BTW I am not a member so I have not been on his site. If the content helps you catch more or bigger fish then I would think its worth it. If it's lame then it cost you $8 to check it out.
  17. I made a big batch of them. Enough to fill my waiting list and have some extras to put on my site. I have since finished out my list and I have a small amount left that I will get on my site sometime soon. After those I wont make anymore for a while if at all. Just like I have done with all my Hard baits except the Hardgills. I may make another run in the future but it wont be anytime soon as I do have a bunch of other baits in the works that are ready for production. Thank you to the guys who bought them. Please post up pics when they produce for you.
  18. I made those other rat baits about 6-7 years ago. Those were the gen 1 Muit mouse. I recently sold my old new stock of them to my distributor in Japan. I made the Muit for a shop in MA. I stopped making the muit because of a disagreement with Rago. Then they made a different bait the gen 2 Muit. I had nothing to do with that one. Now Rago and I have come to an agreement and he wanted me to make a rat bait so this current bait is the result of that. That's also why I dug those old baits out of storage and sold them.
  19. Thanks for posting those pics Wayne. Grady I have not even tried one without the bill. I am guessing it would walk but I have no idea if it would swim at all. Now I am curious. Ceaser you are correct. If you have ever seen a live rat swimming they have almost no body movement. There feet are doing the work and are moving the most. Even their tails are just dragging behind. That maybe natural but for me its unwanted. I wanted an exaggerated, aggressive, hard swimming action that creates a lot of thump. I want to feel the bait. So far the testing has shown that the bass and the testers also like the aggressive action.
  20. My rat has a very aggressive action to it. It swims hard and makes a big wake. You can feel it thumping hard as its swimming. It can be waked or it can easily be cranked down a couple feet. It is not loud and it does not walk. The only parts painted are the white and pink. The body is poured that color so you wont notice hook rash. It has swiveling hook hangers and the tail is attached with a hitch hiker. It is not in production yet as it needs to pass its testing phase. So far the first official testing batch is doing great. Lots of fish being caught with no issues. I am going to try and crank these things out and keep the price low on them.
  21. Welcome. Some good guys over here
