  1. I asked Gilbert this and he says to use super glue, not always the cleanest but they'll stay on.
  2. WCZ Battles Trout new in package. $150tyd Open to DRT trades if interested
  3. I know Waynem I saw them on a Japanese site for $379 so I had to buy 2. Guess that's what credit cards are for after all. Spooling them up tonight & hitting it hard next week. So pumped they feel unreal and smooth as silk. Thought my 400b was nice but these are real nice Clark
  4. Sometimes you have to treat yourself
  5. That's awesome, one day I hope to make it there. I usually only buy from japan retailers. it's amazing how much the US markup is. I just scored Calcutta conquest 400 for $379 2015 model brand new. Same site has Deps 250's for $68. A friend of mine was there recently and brought back a backpack full of swimbaits.
  6. 10-4 guys, Ya Don thats what i've been using for mostly everything and I love them. Just think it would be nice to have more retrieve w some of the glides. something shimano doesn't have. Thanks for any advice.
  7. Mainly bigger baits, reps 250's, mattlures glide, ragos ect. Was considering the higher speed for my glide baits. Use my calcutta 400b and D for most other stuff with the slower ratio.
  8. whats up guys, just wanted some feedback on the Lexa 400 and or Kamodo 364. What are your thoughts on these. Are you using any one of them. I've been using Shimano for so long and love them but held a Lexa the other day and felt pretty good, smooth and seemed like a good big bait reel. I've only heard things about the Kamodo but have not yet touched one. Just curious on the reviews of these lower profile big bait reels.
  9. Got this bad boy in the mail the other day. Thanks Matt for making baits that catch giants. Can't wait to get out and throw it. Thing of beauty..
  10. Manabu spent endless hours hunting that fish. (From what i read)He also would spent $400 on live bait, drive to Biwa which i think took him 3+ hrs everyday. Once he got to his spot by the bridge he would rev his motor a sequence of times then start throwing out fish. As time went on the bass would come out & crush the bait. He did this to identify the largest fish in the area. Those fish knew by the sound of his motor sequence that food was coming, fish tank style. He had seen that WR fish many times from what I read. Finally catching his prize. Now thats dedication, he def deserves that record in my eyes. Even though it his efforts are not customary to what we do here in the states doesn't discredit his fish. You could say that bed fishing for Dottie was much easier. Hell she was caught many times. I do think Japan will be the place, if not Dixon here in SD has monster bass for what it is. We'll have to all see, maybe one of us will haul her in one day. Thats whats so awesome about bass fishing, next cast could be that fish. So keep dreamin & huckin those baits...
  11. If your from san diego then you know matts craft well. A truly dedicated professional when it comes to building baits that catch big bass. $200 is nothing compared to a 250 that is mass produced for $180 or even much more on some ebay listings. Can't wait to search & destroy with mine. Thanks for the hard work matt.
  12. I did read that in an article awhile back. Thanks for jogging my memory. Hope he is back in good health. Maybe I'll be able to post a pic of a big momma this year throwing my 12". Just have to put the Deps down.
  13. I love these swimbaits & have been throwing them for years. Does anyone know why he doesn't make them anymore. I know it has been a few years now but you can't even find any info or any baits out there. Was just curious. Thanks
