Here's the main reason tunnels and getting rid of invasive species to protect the anadromous fish won't work!! http://www.kcra.com/drought/drought-heightens-worries-of-extinction-for-salmon/36106270

I should have explained how I feel about this better on banning selling tackle containing lead of any kind and even outlawing the use of it in CA. While getting rid of lead I agree with, it should be phased out with a affordable replace rather then a straight out ban IMHO. Also what about baits that already contain lead We have? I just don't trust politicians!!

Here's one other link that's affecting CA where they want to ban certain fishing gear: http://www.sportfishingconservation.org/index.php/stop-the-fishing-gear-ban-sign-the-petition/

This link should take you there: https://www.change.org/p/senator-anthony-cannella-diane-feinstein-jeff-denham-jerry-mcnerney-barbara-boxer-david-valadao-anna-eshoo-eric-swalwell-sam-farr-darrell-issa-ling-ling-chang-michael-millican-mac-mccut-stop-bill-s1894-killing-sport-fish-from-california-delta-striped?recruiter=373083772&utm_source=share_petition&utm_medium=facebook&utm_campaign=autopublish&utm_term=des-lg-guides-no_msg&fb_ref=Default

Part of the nonnative species I think is to hopefully please the anglers that fish for anadromous fish (Salmon/Steelhead) so less predator fish, when the real issue is enough water to keep cool water temp for them. If they split fishing groups they'll win rather then dealing with the real issues!! I like fishing for all these and the problem is enough water along with habitat restoration for spawning due to dams, etc. Then everything would thrive together! This is a good link here: http://restorethedelta.org/

Can you see your favorite spots Electro Shocked and nice fish destroyed?
-
Yeah after they screw the CA Delta they still will do the same thing to Clear Lake because of the Hitch. Can you see nice tourney bags after weigh in being destroyed? Only option to avoid this and hope the bill gets killed/changed before it passes at next level. Between this, the tunnels and banning lead fishing products in CA they're trying to screw fisherman in name of water rights is what it comes down to. Here's some links and sign petitions, send emails and do whatever you can because the fisherman is against big money when water is involved! https://www.facebook.com/RestoretheDelta?ref=profile http://www.westernbass.com/forum/senate-bill-s1894-calls-for-predator-fish-removed-from-stanislaus-melones-t98457.html http://www.westernbass.com/forum/proposed-tackle-regulations-violate-due-process-out-calif-manufacturers-may-longer-serve-the-state-t98417.html

I use the Lews Super Duty also on baits up the the 8" Hudds and Gan Craft 230 with no problems.
-
Yeah Texas has some nice fish posted!! Good luck!! The thing I like the most is fishing with whatever artificial bait, any time I have free and anywhere in my state or region during the tourney time frame.
-
FYI, for those that fish from kayaks (be it swimbaits or other artificial) and like online tourneys they have started a TourneyX that puts on monthly online tournaments for those fishing from kayaks mainly, but other things allowed if approved per rules including some trolling motors, so read thru the rules and they are really good at answering questions. Here's the link for those interested in a CPR (Catch, Photo & Release) Kayak Tourney, I tried my 1st CPR Tourney last month and enjoyed it and now they're breaking down into regions for some fun fair competition. Here's the link: http://tourneyx.com/ Then look under KBF Regional Challenge Series.
