Hello all, Well the time has finally come. I’ve fully committed myself to putting in the man hours throwing big baits next spring. I’ve been throwing smaller glides with some success but I’ve very recently begun getting a dedicated setup ready. However, I’m currently torn between the Tranx 300 and the Curado 300k. I’ve read so much back and forth about which people prefer. I’d say most of my baits will be between 2-4 ounces. What do you recommend. Mostly throwing glides, with a few soft body swimbaits. -
I’m looking to sell a almost brand new Concept Z, used twice, performs like new with only one minor scratch on frame(cosmetic only). Concept A is used, has some scratches but performs very well mechanically and still casts a mile. It was just fully serviced and performs very well. Cardiff 200A is used with some scratches and still performs well and makes a perfect small glide bait reel. Concept Z- $140 Concept A-$100 Cardiff 200A-$70 Lot-$270 -
Hello SU, Reel is in great shape, reels smooth, casts a mile and needs a new home. I have some over stock of round reels and so I figured I should off one. Been looking at the 13 fishing concept a3 reel for my first swimbait reel I was curious what you guys think about them. Or should I just spend the extra money and get a Calcutta. Reel is going on a dobyns dc 806

I have two reels that I'd be willing to part with in trade for a shad or shiner glide bait or a few. Baits should be close to equal in value. First up is a Quantum EXO300PT. I got it from another SU member a few months ago and fished it a couple times. Great reel but just doesn't fit my tiny hands comfortably enough. Has 20lb mono backing with a fresh top shot of 25lb P-Line Original. 5.3:1 ratio. Next is a Lew's Lazer MG in 5.4:1. Other than a small spot on top, the reel is mint. Has 17lb mono on it currently. I bought it to be a deep crank reel but until I get a boat, deep crankbait fishing won't be in my repertoire. I'm interested in trading first and foremost but if someone wanted to buy them, I'd sell for $155 shipped and PayPal'd. -

Trying to get advice and personal preferences on swimbaits set ups. I have a few already but wanting to get more also changing from just big baits to small paddle tails. Hey I'm just getting into the swimbait game and I'm wondering what would be a good rod. I have a Lexa 300 HD and wanna know a good rod to pair with it. Biggest I'm throwing is Gantarels and 8 inch glides (savage gear) and lowest I'll throw is probably my spro bbz 40 rat and some 168 s-wavers.

So I'm just about to get into swimbaits and plan on getting the leviathan edition of the Megabass Levante but am still looking around at reels. Through my college bass team I have a sponsorship discount with Lews and would love to get a lews for financial reasons. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with the BB-2 (or any other lews reels) for big baits such as the 8 inch S Waver or should I be looking more at the lexas or round reels.
