Question for the shore pounders on here. I just bought my second rod and fished the other day. While walking the bank I would put the rod I wasnt using against a tree or against the fence. Its not really that big of a hassle but figured some one might have a cool way of holding their second rod.

Update: Bought the 7'6" MH and Lexa 300. Thank you guys for the help! This site is always extremely helpful

From what it sounds like the 7'6" MH will be better for the baits I have now while the XH will be better if I decide to throw larger Swimbaits. Just need to decide which route I'm wanting to travel

Thank you guys very much for the info. I'm going to do more research but I think I'm going to go with the XH. However, the 7'6" MH sounds nice as well. Maybe I NEED to buy two rods haha. You guys are always extremely helpful

As of right now the only rod I have is the 7'11" heavy. I throw every swimbait I have on this rod. My main goal in getting a second rod is to have a top water (rats, punkers, slammers) on and quickly switch over and through something else (glides, hudds, gills). My Swimbaits: XL Nezumma 9", 7", mini Slammers 6", 8" Hudds 6" , 8" Punkers S waver 200s 6" , 8" savage gear glides Wooden Shellcrackers 8" Triple Trout

Looking into getting a second rod and reel for my 1-3 oz baits. I have now the Guide Select 7'11" Heavy with a Lexa 300 on it. Was gonna designate this rod for my 3-6 oz baits. Was thinking about getting the Guide Select 7'11" Med Heavy and a new reel. Should I get another Lexa 300? Or should I buy a bigger reel for my Heavy rod and use the Lexa 300 on my Med Heavy. What do you guys think?
