I've had dick for time to fish lately w/ family in town, sick children so here's a quick report. The countdown is a bad ass bait man! That bill really keeps that sucker in the depth your aiming to Stay in. I did some experimenting w/ my transducer stretched out 20' and i could see as long as I was slow rolling it, she was with in 2' of my intended depth until the last 6th of the retrieve. Anyway... Fished a gill lake trip before last and found em the last hour in the creek channel much sooner than I anticipated. Farmed a fat 7-8lber before I had to leave on it as she jumped. That sucked. Next trip was supposed to be a quick land trip. Sank it out to 12' over a rocky flat and got lit up pretty quickly. I smacked off a bigger rock then she smashed. I thought it was a giant from how hard she fought. Ended up being 22 1/8'' in length. I snagged it next cast way out so... I cut my line and tied it to the bouy of my bait knocker and went to get my boat. An hour later I got it back haha. She had her mouth pinned shut with a barb in the top lip and bottom. I think that's why she fought so hard. I really like this bait w/ a 5.1 reel, Dobyns 806 (you can get away with a 795) and 20-25# fluoro. Hoping I can peg another fish or 2 on it before the temps dump.

I ordered a Dobyns 908 and Abu Big shooter HS for my big stuff. My first cast w/ the Godzilla worked from deep to shallow up a funnel point resulted in a 8+ staring it down at the boat. She nipped it and bolted. 7 hours later, several changes in weather conditions later I dumped a 5 at the boat as I fumbled the net. Fish were on top of a creek channel w/ pan fish. Got one in the net off a fallen tree in 10' of water. I absolutly love that bait though. Glides like a champ, deadly slow roll and everything in-between.

So dope! Making me jealous over here!
