  1. Top hook is a good option for the deeper water, but will fall nose first. If you wish to use a bottom hook (what I prefer), it will fall flat. With the use of nail weights, you can speed up the ROF. Play around with the weight placement, and amount for what you are looking for.
  2. I sent Butch an OG two weeks ago. He got the bait back to me within a week and a half. As stated earlier, be sure to throw in $10 (or more, depending on how many you send him) for return shipping. Also, don't forget to include the hardware you plan on using (split rings & hooks), ideal ROF, and a return shipping address.
  3. +1, Instagram has a translate option that sometimes appears, its usually not the most accurate, but its there.
  4. Welcome to make offers. Great option for any braid, or deep sea guys. For anyone who is not sure how it works, think of it as a finger trap you would play with as a kid, but for your fishing line. Provides knotless leader connection.

  7. What type of rod are you throwing? Custom or production? I had a similar situation occur with a custom wrapped rod. The tip was so soft (flexible), that the bottom edge of the tip was nicking the line and I ended up losing a hinkle shad from casting through out the day. I could not find a damaged insert, but a local rod builder was able to find the issue and help fix it. The photo below has the arrow to where the damage to the line was occurring. In the photo, it has been epoxied to cover up the shape edge. I have yet to have any further issues.
  8. There will always be mixed reviews with a 3:16 "proto". The 3:16 fans will almost always love it. Then the opposite- some will hate the bait before they even fish it. My 8" is an early photo. My only complaint is it can swim lop-sidded when It is really burned in. Fishing it on Fluoro is mandatory IMO. I am throwing it on 20 lbs. Abrazx. It's versatile, and I would compare the swim to a mix of an OG 250 and a Hinkle shad. Would I spend what some are paying when buying straight from Mickey? No.
