Go to Kmart, Rite Aide or where ever get some "tough as nails" clear nail polish works great on scratches nicks and hook marks on rods.

Hey James, I've had both Luna 300 and 253. The 253 is dynamite. I feel the external brake on the 253 is way better than the internal brake on the 300. The 253 holds more than enough line for swim baiting and respooling won't break the bank. It will throw Hudds, mags, depps, tools no problem.

A friend of mine showed me this. On a 68 rof 5 you can feel the weight extend past the belly hook ring. On the 12 you can not feel the weight past the belly hook ring. I know this sounds opposite but it is true. -
Adding an extra set of split rings and owner st 66 hooks made a huge difference for me.
