    watched this girl eat not once.... Not twice..... But THREE TIMES!! After she followed up MichiganBassman's jerkbait up to the boat I flipped my 8" hudd at her and she couldn't resist it. I swung on her and missed. She started to swim away but I tossed it back at her and boom she smacked it again. Once again I didn't connect. She got some hook the second time so I figured I ruined my chance at landing this fish. I Made one last toss at her as she cruised away and she still wanted it bad. It felt good to finally feel weight when I swung. After a couple pictures and a weight the fish swam off. A few casts later on the same edge I got thumped hard. After I got the fish about half way in we saw it was a big fish. Somehow I managed to dump what would probably be my new pb. My luck went down the drain even more when I casted off my hudd later on in the trip. Even though there were a few rough patches in the outing it turned out to be a great day on the water.

    Had an awesome night fish with MichiganBassman. Managed to trick this piggy into eating the slammer. Gotta love it!

    Fortunately all of the warm weather has kept the ice off the lakes til now up here in Michigan. First time I've ever been able to fish open water in December. Me and my buddy had an itch to get out and fish while we still could and I'm glad we did. he stuck a couple on the s waver before I could get bit on the 6 inch hudd. We kept at it even though our hands were frozen. I was super stoked when I finally got thumped by my new pb. It may not be That big to some at 4lbs 10oz but it's the biggest largemouth I've been able to land. Hopefully 2016 brings more great things!
