  1. i had a pair and they worked pretty well! gave it to my buddy though and bought some heavier duty ones!! still a great tool for the price!
  2. I use the Lews bb2z for swimbaits! I have 30lbxxx izor on it at the moment and it seems to hold more than enough. Its one of my workhorse reels now just because its comfortable and lighter. I throw everything from 8"hudds to Deps 250's Pretty good reel if you ask me! If i were you,i would stick to the bb2 reels for swimbaits!
  3. Right on brotha! Next up, global domination!! Congrats!
  4. Kevin makes some awesome baits! He is also a cool guy to deal with!
  5. That thing looks awesome!
  6. Gone to soon.. You were a talented builder and it was only the beginning. Rest easy friend!

    some builds

Those are some beastly wakes! Awesome work brotha!
  8. I've been using etex. Works really well... Really durable, and leaves a glass like finish! You need to build a lire turner though so the epoxy doesn't sag.
  9. Okuma is going to be coming out with a travel swimbait rod! It's going to be in the citrix line up with 2 different models with one the the rods maxing out at 8oz. I believe! I actually read it in a news letter they sent me and said its going to be available for 2015. I was looking around for a travel one myself and thought this would be great. It's going to be a 4 piece with travel bag as well!

  11. That thing is sick brotha! How'd it stand up to the oceans predators?
  12. If you can, save up for a Dremel! I have one and it's my workhorse! I'm going to be getting a bandsaw, drill press, and Oscilating spindle sander soon! But if you can save up for a Dremel, it will make it worth your while!
  13. Looks amazing! Going to look awesome with paint!
  14. I recommend youtube for videos and flickr for pictures. Have you gotten the 3piece to sink yet, or are you going to make a sinking version? Kinda hard for me with just an iPad at the moment... And it's only a first gen too The 3 piece I have in the video is basically sort of a test run. I'm getting all the mechanics down like sink rates, joint system, and balance/ballast down. Honestly, these lures I've made so far won't stand up to fish I think. I just want to get the basics down first of swimbait building before I move on to more durable lures! Still need more research and development I think... Getting there though and been learning a bunch!
  15. Very cool! Would love to see the process done in person! Super cool how it gets all the detail! Delta man made a few here a while back which is awesome too!
