    Gonna hit SD and get a few hours on the water tomorrow and all day Sunday (hopefully). Most likely hitting Lake Miramar since I'll be in Manila Mesa. Any suggestions? Feel free to pm me. Otherwise, hope y'all get on em this weekend.

    That's probably what happened... but if by chance, someone who's really wanted to get their hands on one to fish, actually went and grabbed them, then it was worth it to help a guy out... at least no one's saying where the fish are biting... that's a different story. Besides, in socal, everyone fishes their gear, not resells it... right?

    I bought the reel for the salties and handled tuna and yellows just fine with 80lb braid... drag pressure was more than enough for 30lb class yellows. I can't see myself using it for my freshwater fishing... My lexa 300s are good enough. It's a bulky reel, but fishable all day without issues.

    Last year, a lot of half day and 3/4 day boats were on the exotics... It's still early to tell, but they should be coming in closer... especially towards Sept/Oct... The only thing that sucks is that the cattleboats are rat packed and prices skyrocket. Check out the Eldorado at Point Loma. They'll be leaving Berth 55 in LB this week for SD for tuna til Nov.

    I hit a park lake before getting to work (late) today and hooked back to back dinks on a g2 shellcracker on the surface just passed noon. Both were out in the open in direct sun. Water was murky as hell too (1ft visibility...if that)

    Picked up a used production XH off the black market recently... on its first outing, I casted my 8" hudd so far that I got hung up on branches I never thought I'd reach. In addition, 25# Big Game ain't no joke...
