  1. That's the Japan Carp (at least that's the description when I bought it) that was released at the Nagoya Keep Cast 2015 show in Japan. Biwa Trout was the other color at that show
  2. I watched Big Fish Rush a few weeks back (deps creator/butch brown dvd talking about the bait and going out to castaic lake) and got some tips from that. Butch fishes with a steady retrieve, when he thinks there may be a follower he will dip the rod to make the lure go off to the side and try and get a reaction strike. He also says he fishes it like he would a spinner bait. The deps creator also had a different technique, where he would do a series of quick upwards jerks of the rod (to around a 90 degree angle straight up) so the lure would have a fast glide movement. While presentation is a big factor, I think it's more of studying the topography and noting where vegetation/cover area's are that could support a big bass. I could be wrong, I'm sure more members will chime in with their tips also
  3. I have 2, with another coming in the mail in a few days. They swim really great, has a nice glide action to it. Sinks when you reel it in, if you let it sit it rises to the surface. Only thing I don't like is that some of the paint above the rear hook is chipping off during cast (at least for mine, was throwing it for about an hour
  4. Same thing I'm rocking, gets nice action shots from cast to catch
  5. They have the HL Bluegill. RT is sold out everywhere right now.
  6. Probable a mixture of both. With the OG Deps 250's, most likely the high prices was due to it not as widely known/available as it is now (original models released a decade ago, and mainly sold in Japan. Someone with better knowledge may be able to correct me on this), and also now due to the fact that it is being more widely produced could be helping with the lowered price.
  7. I thought about getting the battleground 320, but it looks so thin. looks good from the side but top/bottom view didn't really wow me
  8. Oh, my mistake. I saw 2015 in some of the titles and thought it was the new release (still the 190mm/130mm), but looks like its just the 2015 deps web member colors
  9. The new bullshooters are on some of the Japanese ebay retailers.
  10. Heres another ebay store selling the new 250s for $150 in case anyone missed out: http://stores.ebay.com/japankawaiishop?_dmd=1&_nkw=new+deps+250
  11. Nice fish! How was the water level? I'm going up to Clearlake next weekend.
  12. Yes, Deps manufactures in Japan. Deps is partnered with Optimum Baits in the US to distribute it to the various retailers in the states.
  13. How does it handle the bigger baits? I'm looking to throw Deps 175/250 and a bulldoze on it also
