The only issue I see with the palomar knot is getting the loop over a big swimbait might be a challenge
-
Dude those are super clean looking. Good job bro!
-
So let me start by saying I'm new to the swimbait world and looking to start my swimbait collection but to keep me from destroying my bank account I have decided to limit myself to two swimbaits per month or $150 per month whatever comes first Now with that said I have decided on getting a 7" or 8" TT and a 7" or 9" MS slammer but I can't decide if I should go for the double jointed slammer or the original. What are your thoughts on both? Any input is appreciated Thanks - VG

Yea i went ahead and bought it to try. Will just use it as leader. What knot are you using? I use a palomar knot about 90% of the time and a SD jam knot the other 10% because they're both easy fast and strong I have been trying this knot out not sure if I like it
-
I have been told the palomar isn't good for fluro because it allows the line to cut into itself but I'm not sure if this is true
-
I use the palomar knot for mono or braid but I have been using this knot (sorry I don't know the name of it) and the SD jam knot for fluro lately
-
I have been using the xps in the purple and yellow box for about 7 months now seems to be good stuff breaking strength seems to be up to par knot strength is good if you tie a good knot (I do not recommend the palomar knot because it seems to cut into itself) onlg down side is memory is becoming a bit of an issue in the last few months Recently I have decided to give p-line halo a try and see what all the hype is about

Man that's what I want to know, that's one sweet looking hat!

Running Your GoPro on Your Boat Battery
Vanilla Gorilla replied to brooks19604's topic in The Underground
I use a waterproof solar charger to charge 2 batteries and the gopro battery bac-pac on my kayak doing this gives me over 10 hours of video time -
Hey y'all my name is Jason and I'm a noob. I'm 29 years old and I have been fishing with my grandfather since I was 5 but within the last year I have decided to get serious about it and start fishing in local tournaments. Throwing big swimbaits and possibly catching the fish of a lifetime is something that has always interested me. Recently I saw a mojo bass 7'9" heavy rod with a curado 300e for sale on craigslist and I decided to finally pull the trigger. Now I have my first big swimbait rod, ok maybe not "big" but up to 4oz. I still have yet to buy my first swimbait but I'm thinking a trip to bass pro should solve that. I look forward to learning as much as I can from all of you and the possibility of catching a monster.
