  1. I fish my glides just under the surface a lot of the time. Of course it works.
  2. They are still super new so there isn't much feedback on them. I haven't fished one, but I handled at a recent expo and really liked them. The carbon handle is super grippy and much rougher than expected. I like that the threads from the reel seat are hidden. They seem like they have a decently moderate taper for being rated a fast action rod. I've also owned the older version of the guide select which is a great rod, but I'd pick up an sbx this time around if I had a choice. Check out the phenix heavy m1 as well. Super good rod that has a great range of baits it can throw.
  3. Thanks for the entertainment! Wouldn't be swimbaiting without some juicy drama ha ha
  4. Looking good dude! Post up some updates.
  5. Doesn't get nicer than that! Impressive man
  6. Bump. Still looking to pick some up
  7. That would be epic. Always wanted to meet the doctor! See you there possibly. Should be a good time
  8. Also, look into smooth on, or alumilite brands for casting and molding
  9. Post this in the grass roots section. Sounds like you may need to read up on some info that can be found on bait making in that section.
  10. Thanks for the feedback. Hopefully he does release some this spring. Still looking for some if anyone has spares.
  11. It allows to be added to the cart but under the "add to cart" it says "out of stock" Not sure if they are actually available. Thanks though
  12. What's up SU? I'm looking to purchase some 3:16 frogs if you have any you can let go. Thanks!
  13. Sweet guys! My number is 831 332-9410 if anyone wants to link up
  14. Awesome. Looks like I picked the right day to come.
  15. Who's all going to the expo next weekend? Runs from the 18th-22nd. I'll be there on Saturday the 21st. Hoping to catch Matt Allan's seminar. Be nice to meet some dudes who chuck swimmers.
  16. I've only fished it once so far. I was actually surprised at how much I liked the bait. I don't really like that it doesn't have a tail. That kinda bothered me. The clear seems to be epoxy compared to a regular clear coat that's used on the negotiator. I really like the sounds this thing made. Clicking together and whatnot. Has a cool swim when ripped too. Doesn't work all that well at a slow roll. I enjoyed twitching it and letting the wind create some movement when dead sticking. Just my .02
  17. Every bait has its limitations and should fit a purpose imo. Don't trip
  18. Must be broken then. Couldn't possibly be your fault. Mine glides well and doesn't roll very much. It doesn't burn well. I actually like that it just kinda runs straight through the water once I speed up my retrieve. Helps me get it back to the boat quickly when I am fishing shade lines and situations where I am not fishing the bait all the way back to the boat. I've had my best luck on the bait fishing it slow in the colder months.
  19. I like the right one more. Make sure you are really satisfied with your profile before spending a bunch of time carving it. What kind of bait is it going to be? You are off to a good start
  20. Thank you so very much for the lengthy explanation. That's going to help my process. I haven't been using a carbide blade or anything. I'll have to check that out. Much appreciated
  21. This is some good info. I guess it does depend if one was making money off the lures and needed to cut down on time and maybe up the consistency when trying to sell a product. I don't mind cutting them, but they don't look as clean as a CNC'd bill either. I appreciate the advice
  22. I'm "in"! Very kind of you JC. Showing some amazing Christmas spirit.
  23. You glorious bastard! Thanks for the tip!
