  1. This is so true a lot of fish don't want to hit topwater for some reason .
  2. Rats , Hudds , triple Trout , glide baits they all work . I pick a bait I have the most confidence in the day . So I know what my lure is doing every reel turn , what speed I like to fish it . How long to pause . If I do a half turn of energy real what will it do Ect . Learn to fish the the baits during the day to really get to be comfortable with how you swim the bait Ect ... Swimbait fishing your not gonna get a fish nesasarily every 5 trips or every two or even every 10 . You have ally more odds of catching fish with conventional gear . But the size of fish it apeals to is much greater . Now I'm not saying you can't catch a 12 on dropshot but y would that fish wanna search for worms while there is a big trout or bluegill , rat you name it . The wanna spend as much time saving energy so they can fill them selves with only a 1 bigger meal . But if you drop a dropshot on her nose she could eat she might not . Your not gonna land or even goon nearly as many fish as you would on a jig Ect . Even the small bass will eat a big 10" trout . I got a 1 pounder the other night on a black dog baits tail wagger (10" bait) but we caught a few nicer sized fish on the bait aswell . Way more big fish are caught on the big baits compared to small fish
  3. Anthony, there are two mother customs on swimbait universe . Jump on em bro
  4. Or another Great option is a pistol case . The hard case with foam inserts but these are not nearly as space friendly as the su bait wraps . But they are a little bit cheaper . If I were you go with the bait wraps just because they carro more than enough baits and is the most shore angler friendly solution !( fits in the backpack best, and leaves lots of room for water , pliers , sunglasses , scale Ect ...)
  5. I just picked up the swimbait underground multi bait wrap . Buy that and some hook covers you'll be set for shorebangin. I've tried the boxes your asking about but they aren't nearly as good as the SU bait wraps !
  6. Signed . Keep us updated Anthony . (: I love those baits
  7. Glad you got everything sorted out . I wish the best for recovery of the family -Derek
  8. I respool every 3-4 trips , could you go more ? Yes . Do I ? No. Why ?Because I don't wanna take any chances while throwing my 300$+ baits . Why skip out on such a small investment compared to loosing a bait . I also think is partially confidence but why risk it
  9. Sounds good man , still need get out and fish sometime , you got my number still ?
  10. Sounds good man , we still gotta get out and fish
  11. Might be up there in a few weeks maybe we can meetup and fish ? I'm coming from az
  12. Just put in an order for some decoy snaps . Hope I like them.
  13. Bullshooter. Wether it's the fullsize (190) or a smaller 160 or Jr. . I personally like the 160. But the 190 still flat out catches fish when any other bait won't . The 160 is a more "versatile" size IMO . They do sink a little fast for me with the stock Lip weight so you can either shave it down or completely remove it . Completely removing makes it a heavy floater . While when shaving you can tune it to your personal liking . I have a buddy who slays one the 160 and a buddy slays on the 190. They both work . And are underrated baits in my opinion . As for the gillroid I've only fished the bassroid wast horrible but it wasn't my style . Only borrowed a buddies for about 10-20 casts. So I'm hoping others might be able to help you on the gillroid . But if I were you I'd pick up the bullshooter 160
  14. Hey Wayne , do you sell them ? If payed for material , and shipping + some for time
  15. Crazy cool , I had some stockers slam the deps 250 right at the bank . In an urban pond . The trout wasnt much bigger that the bait . I was surprised when it happened again ! In a different spot but it was weird no hookups . But I think they missed hooks .
  16. So first of I'm heading to sterling Virginia for 2-3 weeks , to fish for small mouth , largemouth . From what research I've done there a Muskie in certain water ways near where I'm staying . I would love to catch some muskie and check that of the bucket list ... But I also wanna fish Swimbaits for the smallmouth and largemouth . And possibly Muskie on Swimbaits . But I was wondering how you prevent teeth from cutting thru your line ? Do you fish heavy florocarbon leader ? Steel leader ? I'm also looking to see if anybody makes leaders for this specific application and would make me some to buy?also anybody near sterling Virginia ? Or relatively close ?
  17. Robert , I sent you pictures of the og deps 250 , showing that the bait was a silent killer . I thought we were both under the impression that thr bait was a sk.. I mean the price difference isn't far off . And i Yes I wasn't aware you still frequented this page . Sorry I haven got back on until recently , my grandpa had passed as manny know, it was tough on me . But not trying to excuse myself from this . I've done quite a few deals on here and the people i have dealt with or know me personally would say i DIDNT mean for this misscommunication .... Pm me Robert .
