It is worth it. I have a 11" on the bow and a 9" in my dash that is hooked up to a 15" monitor mirroring it. People ask all the time where I got my 15", I got it used on eBay and it works great but would have been about $1300.00 new. I reworked the bow and the dash so all would flush mount. It was a lot of work but worth it.
what units are you running and what monitor are you using as a mirror
-
I'm running an hds 9 on the bow, definitely wouldn't go any smaller, while standing up, the extra size is worth every penny especially when in split mode running gps, sonar, and structure scan. Even the 9" starts getting small while operating 3 features. I'm going to keep the 9" up front, but add a cheaper non-touch 7" as a dedicated sonar next to it, like a hook or elite series. I'm currently running a pair of 7" on the dash, one dedicated gps, the other sonar, and they've been working great, although I'm probably going to upgrade the gps unit to a touch screen, far easier and user friendly than the non touch. You'llbe glad you sprung the extra few $$$
What units are you running and what kind of monitor are you using to mirror your unit?

Go with the biggest your wallet will allow, you won't regret it

Shallow grass you gotta have a slammer or rat of some kind, BBZ won't break the bank for sure.

It's not that bad to change a pawl...but I'd send it in to get professionally done along with a cleaning

Hell yea, lakes been dropping hard, heard the bite was tough. Good job!

That 4" wake isn't gonna be availible to the public?

Down here (southwest Louisiana) we don't have the same "perch" yall do we call anything a perch that's in the bream family (bluegill, sunfish, crappie) we have white and black "crappie" we call both species sac-a-lait. It's just like anything else different parts of the country call the same fish different things. I think you knew what I was referring to though.
-
White perch/black perch still act pretty similar. I spend a lot of time behind my units and these just don't look like bass, if they are they are small.
-
Might not be bass even, they are set up more like white perch to me.

Went from a Champion 202 to a Phoenix 921 and love it, the only other boat I will consider getting is the new Charger 210 because it is a Champion 210 just updated with the newest features. The 921 is probably the best fishing platform I've ever fished off of as far as stability and deck room.
-
I think my next boat will be a kayak, looking really hard at the freedom hawk, does anyone here have one?
-
That isn't far from my neck of the woods, hopefully yall were on a small lake...

Last Veritas 2.0 I bought broke on the hookset

Lakemaster is the best mapping card I've used my lakes (Toledo and Rayburn) are in HD, I haven't fished a lake yet that didn't have the HD mapping but you could always buy a Zero Line card and make your own though

Awesome video, great job on the edit and the fishing!!!! Can't wait for more!!!

No problem, humminbird are without a doubt easier to use, if he can get you a deal on lowrances go with them
-
Humminbird is definitely the more user friendly of the bunch, good graphs. The mapping is out of this world if you buy the lakemaster chips, navionics doesn't even compare. I have had Lowrance HDS 8s on my boat and liked those too, the down imaging was crisper. I now run a helix 12 and helix 10 on my boat and love them. My best advice to you is to try and get some time behind whatever units you are thinking about buying, call around to friends and see if you can't go out with them and they can show you what they like about there units.

The fish in your area always have jacked up tails, are these all from the same pond?
-
He does...

Can we trade bigpoppabass for magicmanCP? Magic man always had good info, this guy just likes to complain and I have never read anything very useful from him.

Is it worth it

Thought I deleted that first post. I never thought about just mirroring with a monitor, is it water proof because Toledo and Rayburn get nasty not to mention when it rains
