Thought this was pretty cool. Side by side with the real thing the bait looks amazingly similar. Pizz has killer paintjobs!

On a recent trip to Connecticut in May I stuck 3 really nice bass. All 3 were caught at night, in light rain, with a gantarel. On this trip I only fished with a gantarel and swaver since I was afraid the pike would cause a few cut lines and lost baits. I didn't get any weights on them but they were by far my PB CT bass :).

Thanks for the responses, with the mixed results I think I'll give it a shot and if nothing else retire the lure to just lmb fishing.

I was thinking about picking up a few ms slammers to target stripers in trout stocked lakes. I know that they are tried and true lmb baits but was unsure of their striper catching abilities. Am I wrong to think they are good striper baits? Also, if you do recommend them for stripers, have you found better success with the 2 or 3 piece slammers?
