Imagine you're a trout going: "we vibin' we vibin'" (20-30 revolutions) "OH SH-T A BASS" (burn it) "damn I'm too tired to run, let me diiieee" (kill it) "no wait I want to LIVE" (twitch twitch and crank it) "we vibin' again" (20-30 revolutions)
Haha I absolutely love this description! In all seriousness, I do try my best to imagine how a scared baitfish would be swimming and fish my glide accordingly. I truly believe that fishing with confidence leads to more bites!

Looks like a great start! I personally love keeping my baits smooth because it gives them a cleaner look and allows for more painting options. Can't wait to see what you come up with!

It's been a while since I've messed around with pouring soft baits, but I have heard that dimpling could be caused by the plastisol cooling too rapidly. Adding a heating source under the mold may help. You could also try pouring the plastisol at a cooler temp/heating the mold before pouring to try decreasing the speed of cooling. Again, I'm not an expert when it comes to plastisol, but I have had some success using the methods mentioned...
