  1. Killer Vid! I've had limited success so far fishing the stained / dirty waters of Texas. Nice to see a vid in water that's not gin-clear.
  2. Speaking of scent... Here's a tip that really cuts down on the amount of times that you need to re-apply scents. Now, this only works with soft baits. Take a wire brush (bbq grate brush will work). Lay swimbait on it's side. Gently push brush bristles into the swimbait until it's roughly 1/4 to 1/2 way through. Flip swimbait onto its other side and repeat. Now you have several hundred tiny holes with which your scent of choice will seep into. It works very well, and lengthens the amount of time between re-application.
  3. I've been fishing 3x weekly out here since I moved from San Diego a year ago. People who've seen me Chuck the big baits looked at me like I'm from another planet. I am glad to know I'm not alone out here in the Lonestar State. Still a swimbait noob and I know I have a ton to learn. Just watching guys get bit on YouTube I see I'm reeling at light speed. Let's get something going. I'm in Mid Cities area of anyone wants to hook up for beers and bass.
