  1. Looking for some shad glides and gill glides. PM me what you have, I can buy or try to trade for these. Really searching for 316 freestyle Shad, clutch darter, texas swimbaits shad, and other gill glides. send offer worst I can say is no
  2. Bump. Will trade for chad shad, 316 shad, or mint paperweight. Or other higher end glide
  3. Looking to trade one of my Wake Jr for another 316 bait or other glide baits. I have 2, one is bluegill and other is HBC.
  4. If anyone has any other glide recommendations to add to my arsenal, feel free to post them as well. I did just pre-order a 316 workhorse and gizzard shad
  5. Looking for chop style glide baits. What’s the best ones out there? I already have a Deps 175, 250. Wanting something a literal more sporadic. Preferably in a shad style.
  6. Know this little place pretty well, been fishing a big reservoir with the thickest grass imaginable recently that is giving me a run for my money. Thrown big baits in there a few trips now and biggest fish I’ve seen is 4-5 lbs. Clear water @10-14 ft visibility so big baits pull a lot of fish. Just a matter of time I know there’s gotta be some big girls in there but man they’re hard to find in that place
  7. Recently got back into big swimbaits for bass and I remember why I got into it in the first place. Last two days Gancraft 178 and Hudd 68 weedless have been getting creamed IMG_1853.MP4 IMG_1852.MP4 IMG_1854.MP4
  8. Okay thanks guys! I'm gonna go ahead and order one. Thanks for the input
  9. Will this rod handle the 8" huddlestons?
  10. I'm looking to get a new swimbait rod and ran across the dobyns fury 795SB. Anyone using this rod? It's rated from 1-5oz. And it's 7'9". Also I was looking at the Irod Genesis 2 Jr swimbait but it's only rated from 1-4oz.. My buddy has an okuma guide select that I like but the new ones only have a 1 year warranty and the dobyns and Irod both have liftetime. What do you guys think/recommend? Thanks for the help
  11. Run full mono on the reel for the stretch and single strand 60lbs wire. I know you won't believe it but a king or wahoo can slice through 300lbs mono like butter.. I don't think the Deps is going to hold up to well on king.. If you do a haywire twist and have the loop to the lure a decent size your action still be there.. Also you may not need to worry about this but I prefer Titanium wire over SS. The only problem is you have to crimp it and you may not have this. Titanium wire won't bend like SS and is more flexible and thinner.. If you guys have any more questions PM me or comment here. Ps. I live on northern GOM and fish in saltwater tourneys all on the coast.
  12. Does it stain or just put a coat of clear on? I might have to give it a try.. How many coats? And I imagine it hold ups well?
  13. I have been working on some wooden wakebaits.. I'm not painting the whole thing just painting the belly white after burning the head to give some color.. What can I use to seal the lure and give a nice clearcoat? I try polyurethane and put 5 layers on but it's not as smooth as I'd like.. I'm thinking about trying Laquer or Sanding Sealer Laquer.. Any tips or suggestions?
  14. The lake I fish is clear though hence why I want to use a mono or flourp leader. I'll give it a shot
  15. So I tried straight mono for my Revo.. Used momoi diamond in 20#.. I reallY love the line. We use it for all our offshore stuff so i figured I'd give it a go.. But it doesn't swim with my topwater rats as well as I want it to and don't have another setup to spool with straight braid... So do you guys think I can put 50# braid and then 10-15 ft off mono to fg knot while fishing suspended baits and cut it off for topwater? Maybe with the small 10 ft of mono and rest braid my bait will swim better?? Thanks for the input.
