Every year I learn the hard way..... my style of fishing is to fish fast and cover a lot of water. The temperature has been very inconsistent here and we have had many cold fronts.... When all else fails....... just throw the Hudd68! It was like she hasn’t eaten all week!

My fall bait....... Tater Hog Custom Lures Hoochie Mama! Bait moves a lot of water, creates a nice V, 5 gear it wakes awesome, 6 gear it will go just under surface.

Weather is starting to finally cool off in the high 60's/Low 70's at night. Fall bite is around the corner.

Deps Bullshooter 160 floating gill. Has a really nice wake, but I got her twitching the bait sub surface with the LDC and reeling fast with HS NACL 51. I prefer the floater vs the SS, you can get floater to go down, and easy to find if you let it rise. I tried the strips but then it suspends and when cranked it goes deeper than I want it to

I've been looking for one shallow over the last couple weeks, and been chucking a lot with no results combined with very inconsistent weather. I was searching for her casting 2x at every angle and just moving quickly covering a lot of water. The wind picked up right as I bomb casted the Bull Gill, and the wind was taking my line leaving a large loop. I was basically just trying to reel in so I could walk to the next line of sight for 2 casts and move. All of sudden my line was just moving and I set the hook, she didn't even move. Found my fall Monster Pond Bass last week. I played the moon right, and the sun and wind was in my favor. Tossing the 3 piece Dockrat into the wind, into the sun, with my NACL 51 HS 6 gear.
