  1. I have some eight inch Magdrafts on the way, now. And a negotiator
  2. Definitely need to do some bait mending upon further inspection….don’t have much experience in the matter but we’ll see how it goes. Probably try some zap a gap
  3. Sweeeet
  4. I was curious how well the single forward mounted hook would work with eyes considering that they don’t have the largest mouths…especially the smaller ones. But I got a couple of smaller fish that took the bait pretty easily. And of course, as soon as I took note of how great the hook worked, I started to lose fish….
  5. I went out tonight for a few hours. I threw a six inch megabass magdraft swimbait. Most of the time, I just slow rolled it in and around structure. I landed five eyes, had probably four or five come unbuttoned and missed a handful of strikes. A couple of the fish that came off were pretty nice. I haven’t thrown this particular bait much but first impressions are solid! Did anyone get in on the 86 baits doomrider release that just happened? They were supposed to be releasing some green gizzard Shad doomriders at 6pm on the 28th but when I looked they were outta stock.
  6. Nice I just ordered my first Roman made...it's one of the awabi negotiations. I'm pumped to fish it. For a few years my on was a 28.5 that I got during the day with a really fast burn from shore
  7. There’s a good mix of a bunch of different species in there. I would think they have access to and utilize mix of sizes and prey types including crawfish. But I bet the big predators key in on the stocker sized rainbow trout that are in the lake. They’re not too smart and probably make for a tasty, easy meal.
  8. For a while, my Pb walleye was that one 28.5 incher that I got on an s waver 168…during the day from shore, no less. I was burning it FAST.
  9. I went to my local spot for some bass or sauegye action. It’s only a couple miles from where I live which is awesome. After tying on a storm arashi 7.5in glide, I went to a spot that has been super productive for me in the past for multiple species. There’s a beaver dam up against the shoreline with some submerged wood about fifteen feet in front of it. I laid the bait down right on the inside of the submerged wood and slow rolled it back. On the first cast, I got nailed. And then again on the second cast. Both were solid saugeyes.
  10. Bull shad, bull gill, bbz1 or bbz1 Junior, s wavers…etc
  11. I thought about that but the eyelet isn’t up and down…it’s left to right. So I’m not sure how bending it up or down would help prevent it from swimming to the right.
  12. Every jointed lure I’ve ever had swam in a straight line and didn’t veer off to the side on the retrieve.
  13. I just got a six inch bull hill I’m the mail a couple days ago. I took it out today to see how she swims. The lure doesn’t swim straight on the way in. It actually tracks to the right as it comes in. The lure looks swims nicely and looks realistic but I’m just wondering if that’s normal or if I should try and get it replaced or traded out? Has anyone else noticed this with their bull gills or bull shads? I had a bull shad years ago and I don’t remember it swimming to the side like that. It’s nothing super obvious but it doesn’t seem to track in a straight line like it should and for $60 I’d like it to do what it’s supposed to. I noticed that one of the joints bends further in one direction than it does the other direction and I’m thinking that’s probably why.
  14. I think pink is a good color, man. I haven’t fished it a lot for bass but I’ve had a lot of success for lakers on pink jigs and I think I’ve seen a lot of bubble gum colored swimbaits. With that said, I also believe that profile and presentation/retrieve is a lot more important than color most of the time and you can catch fish in pretty much and color.
  15. Your photo reminds me of his glowing eyes. I never thought about it until this post but having Riddick’s procedure sure would be nice for getting some nighttime eyes!
  16. Have you ever seen Pitch Black??
  17. I have spent some time throwing the s waver in pretty deep water, like 30+ feet, for big lake trout. The lure sinks pretty slow so it takes forever to get down. I usually have two rods going. Maybe one with a jerkbait or a spoon and then one with a swimbait. I’d cast the swimbait out and let it sink down while I fish the other rod. Not super unusual but it’s all I could think of lol. I’ve also gotten fish throwing the full size bbz1 rat though shad boils.
  18. My 28.5 incher was during the day in clear water
