awesome eat, awesome fish. good ish dude -
rushed and put in an address of mine that’s 500 miles away smh. i’m getting this bait next year by the looks of it LOL

target casting with the Antares is awesome because of the higher gear ratio. i’d totally recommend if it’s for that. I’d say, look at the antares as more of a power fishing reel, and the calcutta as a slower, more methodical, but smoother reel.

I think people misuse that Antares MD sometimes. I find the best use with that reel is with 30-40 pound braid and fishing lures under 2oz. It bombs smaller topwaters and cranks. I used it for 3 weeks in South America and caught countless fish on it. I have never casted further with a reel when using that braid to leader combo on the Antares. I do still use it for my under 3oz glides with fluoro. Yes it isn’t that smooth for the price, but it’s probably the best baitcasting reel for optimal casting distance.

I find crawlers to be the best bait at night. I go for wood baits because with plastic the tinny clicking and clacking reduces the number of bites i get. Fish shallow, more shallow than you might expect. Don’t need to fish as close to cover.

Damn dude. This ones rly crazy. Sorry abt your hand, but hella worth it if you ask me

There might already be a forum on this but i couldn’t find it, so my bad in advance. I live in the city, and I am kinda tired of lugging around my 806 champion on the subway. I’m looking for a 2 piece or travel rod that I could get that’s similar in action to the 806. I know that 7’11 Megabass Valkyrie is talked abt but it’s rly hard to find one for the right price. What do y’all use?

Aventa crawler full size wood is the best for the money IMO.
