  1. If you like tactical and my channel keep those eyes peeled Have a collaboration planned with them in October. just got the definite yes that Matt was in the other day. And have some other fun collabs planned during fall as well.
  2. wow! thanks a lot man. really appreciate it. im trying my best to put out consistent, quality, creative, content. i saw a complete absence of any 100% swimbait dedicated channels on youtube. people would load a sb related video or a how to here and there. but there wasn't one channel solely dedicated to big baits, so i decided to change that. its on track to do pretty well as long as i stay consistent. The audience engagement has been great and the feedback has been positive thus far. im giving it my 110% effort and i have some really fun things planned for fall with some bigger names in the community and with other youtube content creators. and am in the beginning stages of working with a couple companies on some fun content and hopefully partnerships. they were seeing a lack of content as well, and they have said that they are happy to see a channel dedicated to the subject. so stay tuned cuz fall is gonna be fun! And its all due to this forum! ive learned so much here! i was a traditional bass angler prior and my buddy gave me a dobyns and a luna to start throwing a single deps i had and that was it. that was the end. havent picked up traditional gear since. i fish everyday on the small urban lake i live on. and hoping to get a pro angler soon and that will open up a whole new world of filming for me. ive spent countless hours digging through old threads on this board and have inhaled all the knowledge i am able to.. members here were beyond generous when i joined with knowledge and other things. i cant thank the SU community enough. hope i can represent the SB community and S.U. on youtube well. thanks to everyone on here thats lended me a hand when i needed it or answered questions when ive had them. its all because of you guys. thank you!

  4. thanks man. i wanted to share my journey into the world of big baits with everyone. and i 100% owe it to the guys on this board. ive learned so much here its crazy. and members on here went above and beyond to help me out when i got going with big baits. i cant thank them enough. i find myself losing hours at a time on here just filing through old posts and topics.

  7. I'm super excited about these. 13 is an awesome company that really listens to customer feedback and applies it to their gear. I'm def gonna order one or more. And the swimbait reel looks pretty great also.
  8. thanks for the referral anthony. and welcome aboard man. have fun on here and soak it all up. the forum is absolutely invaluable if you take the time to search your topics and really dig into some of the posts.
  9. thanks man. and yes i have a couple videos on the tiny Klash which shares alot of the same action as its big brother the klash. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eOSAANdbaZw
  10. was throwin various 9-10oz baits other week for stripers and my buddy was spooled up with 30# izor xxx and that stuff was awesome. and cheap also. was my first time trying it and think im gonna order a big spool soon.
  11. although its listed 3-10oz on north forks site. it also says its a medium powered rod.( IM SWB 808-1(IM) 25-50 3-10 1 8' Moderate Mag. Medium ) that would instantly turn me off if i was shopping to specifically buya rod for a 250. i use the dobyns 867 rated 4-16oz and its power is listed as mag.hvy. i would never throw anything over 10oz on my 867 although its listed it could handle it. if your new rod is listed mag.med and rated 3-10 i could only imagine that the sweet spot would split that difference or just under. so 3-5 oz being prime. the medium power is going to feel just that, under powered when trying to throw your deps even though it states it can. something in the heavy power/ w moderate action will load nicely yet have the back bone combined with the parabolic action to keep that deps pinned and fling it as far as your heart desires.
  12. Man I guess these lexa's are dirt cheap theSe days cuz I've seen a couple listed today for pennies on the dollar unless the guys were hurting for cash. So I'll bump it down to 115$ shipped insured to your door. Someone pick it up I need it gone.
  13. I have some camera gear I'd like to buy so this Lexa is up for sale 130$ shipped to your door. 300hl is perfect working order. Just serviced and got the orange seal boca treatment and Plastic bushing replaced with a boca also. Cosmetic 9/10, working order 10/10 TEXT FOR FASTER RESPONSE. 702-328-9316 PayPal only and I will ship tue morning first thing via insured ups. Thanks for looking full disclosure there is a nick on the spool lip from the spool dripping onto the ground. It's been polished out and runs true. I can send video if you'd like of reel in action so you can see it doesn't affect anything. Pics below
  14. so with a jerkbait you've got a cadence. same with negotiator. it sinks extremely slow so ill usually start with a slow retrieve and pause then pop it once or twice with the reel. then continue my retrieve. changing cadence to see what works and what the fish want. ive also had a lot of luck fishing it around boat slips and docks being that it does suspend almost. it really stays in and around the strike zone for a long time before you have to reel. and same thing around slips. i might flip it out and slowly bring it back and twitch and kill it right around ambush points on the boat slips. its a great bait. one of my faves for sure.
  15. Definitely have two more cameras coming this week for boat mounted. And have been mounting my existing camera on the boat for now. Yeah I agree it makes me sea sick watching head and chest mounts but That's all I had right then. Thanks for the input! And thanks for the sub!

  17. I have the harbor freight one and it's always worked great for me. I'll take initial weights in oz but I use the grams more often than not and I've gotten accurate readings with it
  18. grab a pair of channel locks and snap it off. or use a dremal and cutting wheel and cut it off. they break off pretty easy. get a dremal and carefully dremal it smooth or out. whatever your preference. go to a hobby store and pick up some tungsten putty in the pine box derby aisle. and get a digital scale that does oz and grams. if you have a 175 that is already a ss then weigh it with hardware on and use that as your target weight for the conversion. then weigh the conversion with hardware on and bill gone. subtract the difference and thats how much putty to add. cup full of hot water and a drop of dish soap, dip the body in and get a blemish remover or small flat head and carefully get it under the skin on front sections belly and lift the skin up while sliding it forward and off. (hardware off for this part obviously) add your subtracted amount of putty to the cavity and then weigh everything together on scale and see where you're at. if your there, put it all back together and test swim. add or subtract putty or change hooks and split rings from there to affect rof and action. voila converted sk to ss. with all that said those are the steps i used to do 2 250's in around a hour or less. i would imagine the 175 is same exact process.
  19. Dude! I thought of swimbait chronicles this morning. I like that one. A lot.
