  1. I'm interested in all the ragos. What are you looking for as far as hard baits go. I don't have a pink slammer unfortunately
  2. i just picked this same exact bait up today and was wondering the same exact thing. was gonna throw it on my hudd set up. 806 with 20# abrazx fluoro. any input from anyone else? run the jig hook solo? snip it and b.b it and throw on mono? im throwing in 4-8ft of water around boulder piles on points. no other cover really. any input on it would be great. thanks guys.
  3. I personally like clicking through the different ad's. Don't mind the ambiguous titles lol. Gives me something to do while I'm bored at work.
  4. Love living in Vegas. Cuz sometimes ya walk Into 7-11 and throw in a 20$ and walk out with enough for a rod and some new baits!
  5. Funny that you say this. I've avoided night fishing all winter cuz I figured it'd be to cold. Granted Vegas doesn't get bad. But our air temps def get into the 30's. My lowest water temp I've seen was 38. So I go out to my dock the other night to have a smoke and throw a new lews rod I got with a s waver tied on just to check it out. I'm working it on the top and low and behold about 3 ft from my dock something very slowly followed my waver and came up and slurped it up. Initially I thought it was a carp by how slow it came to surface. And I get it up and it's a 3lb spot! Lol. I continued to fish for a bit and noticed a Wolfpack of them cruising the shallows in the cove my dock is in. So needless to say I'll be heading out next full moon to see what I can score. When I say shallow to there is areas of my cove that are in 8" of water and general depth is 1-2ft then drops gradually to a 8fy channel leading out to main lake.
  6. Edit. Smaller one was actually 3 days ago haha. Been a long day.
  7. So I was lucky enough to pick up a bnib albino negotiator for a good deal from a member On here. I've wanted this bait since I first saw bigger baits. Been Savin cash for it and this one came up and was in my price range so I snagged it. I've wanted a negotiator More so then a deps, or a mother, or really any others. It's a perfect profile for my private lake. It's graceful in the water and stalls out perfectly for my applications. My lake is lined with docks. Well over 100 of them. And they suck up tight under there when sun is over head. And they sit right in the corners when sun is low. Throw it just past and work it to the corner then just let it sit and sink evvvvvver so slowly and watch the magic happen. Lol. I can work this bait soooooo slow in front of the docks and man when they shoot out to smash it, it's a sight to see haha. Or I can flip and pitch it in and out of slips and boats. To me it's the perfect glide. Got these two yesterday and today on it. Waiting to see the big one show itself. Had a couple follows today well over 6-7 off some Boulder piles but no one committed. These guys were both caught around noon each day. Water temps 52 and 54 n wind out of nnw9 mph 65 air temp. 5-7ft visibility. Smaller one shot out from under a boat and smashed it head first I think? Still tryin to figure out angle of attack on the smaller glides since they flip around so much coming out of the water. Bigger one definitely came up from bottom side and t boned it. Teeth marks on bait tell me so. Caught him flippin boat slips. He hit and ran and Almost wrapped me around a prop. Was able to work him out of the slip and net him up. Forgot to weigh smaller one. Bigger one came in at 4.7-4.8 jumping around on the scale. I know these aren't the Giants some of you guys post, I'm just happy to be catching them everyday big or not. I know there are some big girls in this little lake. I've just yet to find them. There's still a fair amount of docks and spots I haven't put a lure in front of. Either way. Have a good night and thanks for reading! Tight lines guys.
  8. I have a 806 and am looking for a 867. If you've got one I'd be interested in trading. Or a heavier rated rod than the 806. Just puttin it out there.
  9. Their moving finally. Found a anchored giant Xmas tree today mid lake in about 8ft of water. Sent a deps 250 down first and almost lost it on a pipe. They followed it for a bit then I downsized and Weighted a s-waver 168 and got it to the bottom faster and pulled this Guy out. 1230 pm sun over head. 68 air temp. 50.7 water temp. 8mph E-winds . 6ft visibility. Off the tree placed just off the main lake point / channel swing don't really know what to call it. It's too broad to be a point. Either way. . Their not long but they're definitely starting to feed up. This little guy was hefty.
  10. What's the bottom color way called? I've never seen that one. It's awesome. Or is it custom paint?
  11. A+ - Buy with confidence. Just got a negotiator from Dustin. He was nice enough to give me time to gather my cash Up for the one I wanted. ( did so in a timely manner) . He had Clear, and quick communication. Prompt shipping estimation and all around solid dude.
  12. Yeah man. They stuff themselves and get wide as hell lol. But they don't seem to grow length wise. The big guys have all been hiding this winter. I'm just just stoked to get on some fish. It had been so long before these last two outings. April 1st I get to go out with the lake biologist and and fish and game, and survey the fish. I think it's called a Creel survey? So I'll really get a feel for what's in the lake and where. I Can't wait for that. It's gonna give me some great insight for the spawn.
  13. I just caught 3 today on a 68 trout patten. My lake has absolutley no trout and they still smash it.
  14. Got on a 68 bite today. Picked up some small guys. This one was the best of em. 3.5-4lb I think. Smashed the 68, whole thing in the mouth. Tail first, while working corners of docks and boats directly across from two gradual points. 30mph winds and 48 degree water temps. Rof 12 bouncing it off the bottom.
  15. Helps if I upload a pic lol.
  16. Last decent fish I caught was October 31st. I was beyond discouraged and starting to doubt if I knew what i was doing lol. Me and my buddy went out today after a couple day warm front moved through Vegas. Brought my water temp up from 42 to 49. What a difference. First 5 minutes with this new savage gear 7" shine glide I picked up last night and I snagged this little chunk. Felt great to get back on a fish! Finally knocked that monkey off my back and this is my first 100% swimbait fish. So I was pretty stoked on that too. Not much to speak of size wise. But he was a fun fast fight. My friend got one off a whopper plopper just after this. Was a good quick little session out on the home lake.
  17. I disagree with that. Take Roman made for perfect example. Toshinori has something like 10-12 people under him all executing a perfect product under his watchful eye. You can keep a operation small and still keep standards and deadlines. I was interested in a LDC and after reading multiple threads about the wait. And emailing them. I opted not to go with one of there rods cuz I myself am not that patient. I think the rods are Amazing, but I couldn't see myself waiting for that long. Kudos to the guys that have. And my comment is in no way a slam on LDC whatsoever.the craftsmanship is second to none. If the wait time ever goes down one day I'll be ordering one for sure.
  18. Thanks everyone for the nice comments. Spoke with the bass brigade guys and they said the package would be shipped after they returned from holiday break. I'm like a kid waitin on Santa! Lol. Hopefully it gets here sometimes this week or next. Soon as it does I'll post some pics of everything and hopefully a a fish on the other end of that new phenix. Savin my pennies to grab a new reel for it then I'm good to go! The fishings been pretty rough on my home waters with a couple fronts moving through lately and below average cold temps in Vegas. So we shall see. Either way I'm just stoked to have all of it and throw it fish or not!
  19. I'd find a different rod. Dobyns 795ml would be a good rod for something like the negotiator. It's rating is 1-5oz so the negotiator is right in the sweet spot. I have the heavy and med/hvy in the veritas and they quickly became my jig and Small frog rod. Their good rods but their tip is really fast an it has no parabolic bend really . So the wrong cast or hook set on that rod with the negotiator and your risking snapping the tip off. The dobyns bends start further back keeping those trebles planted and it's got a heavier oz rating.
  20. What pound rating Are you using with those owners?
