Anyone else have opinions? I tried one of mine and the 8/9" osprey sank pretty quickly, expected it to be right under the surface like a wrs. Bait wouldn't kick slow but would sometimes roll over fast. Anyone else have experiences good or bad with the osprey compared to 316 RS

Update, I cut off the shell on the back section until the hook hanger ish area (so that the tail will stay on when I rig it over the back hook hanger. Surprisingly, the bait still swims pretty much as good as normal, the only issue is the side plastic, bumpers, whatever they are that stop the back end from rotating too far, isn't there. BUT the bait noses up less than a normal new style, althought I added a tiny bit of Tungsten putty to the nose. I'm gonna screw around with this bait and try to foil it myself and maybe have it be my deps i throw into the nastiest stuff.

No I didn't, After I rubbed it down with acetone the skin was still all gross and weird looking, that was before I soaked it. It generally "cleared up" but not nearly as much as it should. I went off what deefeesha told me before he wrapped a 250 of mine some time back, he said he would soak them in acetone sometimes.

The ballast as in like it levels it out? theres not any weight in the tail besides the plastic itself.

I didn't have a ton of nail polish remover left to use and I soaked what I could of each side (the bloated parts obviously, and it's a disaster but that's what I get for tinkering

Nail polish remover, mostly acetone based. Weird. Well we win some we lose some, It was a project bait already, might chop it up and make it a 3 piece for sh!ts n gigs.

So I was looking at some line for a smaller setup, specifically 15-17# (mostly 16#) test and I noticed that the Gliss Supersmooth Monotex Line (carried @ TW) has a .006 inch diameter at 18# test compared to other companies like: Gliss Supersmooth Monotex (.006 #18) Gamma Edge Fluoro (.015 16#), PLine Tactical (.0138 #15, .0154 #17), PLine CXX (.016 #15, .016, #17), Seagur AbraZx (.013 #15), Sunline Super FC Sniper (.0129 #15), Sunline Shooter (.0129 #16), Berkley Trilene Big Game (.015 #15) PLine Original Line (.014 #15) Does anyone know if Gliss is just ahead of the game? Thinking of giving it a shot, if it's really that breaking strength and close to half the diameter..... then why not?

I had a situation like this with a 250 as well last fall, they cornered it at a tree but just wouldn't hit it

Is there anywhere I can buy these to replace for one of my new styles? I was clearing the skin on mine to try and do my own wrap and the shell morphed somehow............ Or am I just going to have to try and find a broken 250 or something. If anyone has an outer 250 shell hit me up

What are your guys opinions on em? My buddy will just got a few ospreys and was generous enough to give me one to use after I gave him a triple trout and hudd last Xmas. They look a lot like wrs I have but I don't have any linethru. Curious if people might like the osprey more than LT rising sons
