Schoolies made their way up north early this week. Fishing the tk b-mode really fast & erratic made for some very fun lunch breaks. On average, the fish showing up are bigger than the past couple years.

Went out yesterday for a couple of hours at a local spot. Launch was back but I didn’t have enough time to hop spots. After an hour and a half of nothing, I pulled up to a wind blown bank and started slowly waking my LFOD gill around the shallows. A few casts in I had a blowup and hooked into this one. Not the heaviest fish but had the right build. Stoked to find one like this after a slow start to the year, at a spot I hadn’t previously had success. Looking forward to going back and fishing this place with a new perspective.

The simple answer is that they change the action. Vtail / lip-in gives more of a wobble than the regular tail. With the lip out, it will change the action of the glide vs with the regular tail. I switched to 15lb flouro on my TK set up as well and found I like the action in b mode more than with 20lb. I would be interested to hear your experience with 15 vs 17. -
Looking to sell this SU Deps 250 as it isn’t getting used much. I threw it maybe 2 sessions? The hooks prob need to be swapped out but otherwise the bait it like new.
