Yeah I haven’t been having much luck finding anything over 15”, the fish also seem to turn off the second the sun is visible over the trees. If you ever want a partner out there let me know I’m always looking for local people to fish with!

    Will do!

  2. If it worked out that way that would be fine...  but usually it's 'no thats too low, make me another offer'.  Then you go through the process again and again...  If you want to make a huge profit, put it on ebay or one of the facebook groups.  If you want a fair price with markup, just say want you want. Just my opinion, thats all.

  3. Ken is still working on them and wont say when they will ship.  So i asked for a refund for which Steve processed immediately for me.  contact@huddbaits.com is the email.  Steve has been very quick to respond to my emails, so I will say that he was responsive for me.

  4. I started ignoring stuff from that page after a while...lots of bs and bravado.  Also was encouraging/glorifying trespassing to go fishing which im personally not a fan of...  Even the raffle pages have turn into crap...  Ill stick to here and bassresource and making friendships out on the water.  Even insta is better since I can talk with other swimbaiters without all the drama.  Anyway, tight lines everyone!

  5. all good options. for the spoolteks, what I like to do is either cast as far as I can up current and count it down, till I'm just above the bottom then slow roll. or I'll cast out sideways and allow the current to pick up my slack and let the lure sweep across an area, I'll slowly reel in then as well. for jigs I work them almost the same way, cast out and let it sweep or just work the bottom with them mostly. if you're around where I stay or fish we can catch a session maybe get some snook or something

Thanks for the tips...  Going to sanibel this month and will most likely fish off the beach and at the pass between the islands.  Do you throw any bigger stuff?  Worth bringing a Deps 250?  and my xxh rod setups?  Or just stick to what works?  Was going to bring a bullshad and some swavers at the least to give a shot.

  6. Nice fish!  Any tips on the spooltek?  Im going down to visit family soon on my annual visit, have had past success with yozuri minnows, storm shad type baits, and unfair lures baits but really want to try the spoolteks and the got some red tail hawk type jigs through first light.  Have landed only one slob on cut bait but want to stick to lures.

  7. I'm in central MD.  Had some issues with confidence this year as I always brought my back up rod with a frog or whopper plopper.  Once I started leaving those behind I had some real good success on all the Spro Rat sizes and did ok on the Lunker Punker, Jackall Gantarel, and some other generic glides.  I bought a wake jr, pats perch, and a cl8 possum for this coming year.  Will try some slow glides and rats for pickerel during the winter.

  8. Nice man...looks like a good year! I have that SG Bluegill but no bites on it this year.  Admittedly i didnt throw it enough.  Do you think Jon B will throw any big baits anytime soon?  He keeps hinting at it and buying stuff...but not many vids of throwing big batis.  Must say out of all of his fellow youtubers (peric, 1r1r, flair, etc...) i like him the best.  The others can be over the top for me sometimes.

  9. Yeah I kinda got bit by the damn that's a sexy bait bug and bought a bunch of baits online. I'm going to concentrate on the huddleston 8" and 68 baits till iceout. Still trying to work out best baits for winter. But my intention is to learn how the baits work. I'm lucky to have a small pond down the street with clear water to learn.

Yeah that's my goal with my 68 is to practice dragging it on the bottom until ice out also (which may be sooner than we think-maybe snow next weekend). And then some topwater thrown in for pickerel. Last December I was slaying on small topwater baits with little pickerel.  Hope I can upgrade to big rats and call the big girls out.

I'm also a kayak guy, from the DC area, would love to meet up with some other MD guys who fish out of plastic boats.

Kayaker here as well... have a big heavy thing now. Hoping to get either a light yak or a peddle driven one next spring.

  10. Fishing is my team?!? Lol .  Seriously though been a Bears fan since the late 70s.  Been a bumpy ride for sure.  Still say we shouldve beat the colts in the superbowl. Piss poor coaching by Lovie.  Not a fan of the state of the team right now and focus on fishing on Sundays instead.
