At 8" and 3.1oz I don't think it's a heavy, big bait. I've never seen one run poorly like you describe. It could be one of the knockoffs that was produced. I look forward to a video to see what's happening.

I was intimidated until a 2lbr smoked mine. Throw it for a few months (especially at night) I'm sure you will change your mind.

U.S.A made quality and craftsmanship are what makes Mickeys baits desirable. There are trends that swing, no longer produced (ex abu nacl) and limited quantities. But the track record 3:16 lures has catching big fish and customer service is second to none. Far more than "turds with hooks". Baits and equipment will forever be worth what someone is willing to pay, period. That's a steep price but whatever. I'm not buying or selling it so I say "damn" and move on. The glides will be available soon enough. Either be patient or deal with a big price.

That 3707 is a great idea. If the tails do bend, just boil them dude.

From the album: Swimbait fish
Wind just started blowing into an isolated pocket. Sun was coming up. This fish hit my deps after 2 cranks. -
Bps sells them in bulk but large is the biggest size. Hit up owners site and get some xl.

Who uses inshore low profile reels?

I wouldn't throw hudds on the dobyns 795. The rod has a little too much tip for that big jig hook Imo. Tatula paired with the 795 should do everything you want up to 4 oz. Anything more you need to step up. I would even say the 796 would be good to throw the smaller <3 oz baits up to 7oz. -
Haha, I know who the original owner was.

Damn. They couldn't even be original with their paint. Haha.

You bet man. Let me fish this around and I'll keep you in mind

I fish my glides just below the surface. I'll give them a little countdown if I'm fishing a point. Glide baits will pull big fish from far away. If I want to fish deep I'll throw a hudd

I stood there for at least 30 minutes. I couldn't decide between the purple back one and this one.

Adding these two to my collection.

Summer of 2015. First day throwing an 8" bbz trout. I had just landed a 3lb 7oz large mouth. As I was bringing her in, I watched 2 other 5+lb try to eat her. Too excited to get my bait back in the water, I didn't check my knot or think about "good" casting technique. I whipped that bait out and my thumb got pulled into the spool/reel and snap. Breaking 20lb fluro is loud, my thumb instantly bruised, I proceed to drop my rod and curse. Not sure what was worse, the pain in my finger or my self image as there were 3 older ladies walking their dogs directly behind me.

I started the same way. Throwing a bbz 8" fast sink on a flipping stick, 15 lb mono, Abu silver max. I had no idea what I was doing but I watched a video of Matt Allen landing a 11 8 with a swimbait, so I knew what was up. That fall I saw some of the biggest bass I had ever seen in Colorado. But I hadn't caught a single fish. My first swimbait fish came on the swaver 168. Threw it about 40 yards, parallel to shore and started cranking. I got 6 turns in and felt the tick. Set the hook as hard as I could and brought in a 2.5 lb fish in a 1 lb fishes body. Short and fat with a big belly. That was 2 years ago. I spent last season throwing a swimbait 40% of the time. I just sold all my conventional tackle to focus on swimbaits.

Also, for those who can attend. I'll be posting a travel vlog on my way down, through the seminar and tournament. I just started on YouTube so there is only one video up. I finished selling all my conventional tackle today. Everything swimbait. Youtube: swimbait 5280

I'll be there. Can't wait for this to go down.
