  1. The slickest anchor system I have seen is on river driftboats, I think it would take a ton of work to get one in a boat not originally designed for one, but it would be sweet if done right.
  2. I have been in the same place as you man.first figure out your forage: shad, bluegill, or trout. My recommendation, and imo the easiest bait to fish is a soft plastic. Hudd trout, hudd gill, savage gear, burrito baits shad, mattlures bluegill pick your poison. All you need is that one bait, but you will want others. Get a topwater/wake, and a glide bait. Topwater: Ms slammer, AC plug, OB minnow, all pretty much the same. I got my ob minnow for 10$ in the black market Glide: swaver, pick your color You will eventually want a hard body subsurface swimbait, but those will cover you for 95% of situations.
  3. Hey Flexxx! Didn't know you were over here, seen you on the esee forum, got a strop or two of yours. I will echo flex's brands, all of those will last you a lifetime, but will say that few of those packs work great with 3700 boxes. I have been using a Maxpedition pygmy falcon with two 3700 boxes lied vertically. Not the best setup for big softbaits, but it's bombproof and does what I need.
  4. I would go with an optic with a brown or amber colored lense (from the back, the mirror color doesn't matter) brown offers alot more color contrast, and is alot better for spotting fish due to the contrast it gives to colors. I myself am a smith optics chromapop fan, or costa 580G.
  5. Nevermind, that thing is way smaller than I thought. But it is similar to a solo skiff.
  6. Looks alot like a towee.
  7. A man after my own heart. I am the same way... I'm hardcore streamer fanatic and do a lot of fishing for big brown trout. Once I get this whole swimbait pattern figured out, I am definitely looking for a double digit largemouth on the fly some day, tough, but i think it is achievable. For more pics check out my insta.
  8. In my opinion, the cost of swim-baits is all supply and demand. Does it cost the makers anywhere near as much to make them? No. But if people are willing to pay high rices, then the manufacturers will charge high prices.
  9. Ill take the swaver if its a 200.
  10. Thanks guys! and don't worry, I know they don't come easy. I'd like to think I earned him after 4 other fishless swimbaitunderground excursions.
  11. hit the water right at dusk with the savage gear 3D real trout. I was slow swimming it right next to the boat, (mainly just to check its action) and this guy ate it. Estimated between 4-5 #s. Definitely hooked on throwing the big stuff. looking to get some even bigger baits.
