    It’s not released yet but if you’re into really high end stuff, keep an eye out for the new 2021 Evergreen 6’5” Kaleido Inspirare “Big Bait Short” rated to 300gm (10.5oz). It was just announced today at the Japan expo. Will be the first rod rated that high *that I’m aware of* that uses the highest end Toray nano materials (T1100G, etc).     It definitely can. I’d say the sweet spot is like most JDM rods with that rating, 4-8 oz is most comfortable.

    There are two settings: line type first inside the faceplate and then the setting level on the outside. Settings are as follows: F: fluorocarbon, N: nylon, and PE: braid. And then you choose brake strength dial outside from 5, 1: least brake for metal jigs and rigs over 20g-, 2: regular weight rigs 14-20g, 3: light rigs 10-14g, 4: light finesse rigs 7-10g, and W: windy mode to cast against winds and for bulky baits like swimbaits.

    Stealth Tackle Leaders. Great to have both the Staylok and solid ring options depending on how you want to connect specific baits (split ring or no). For pike 40-60# fluoro will minimize bite offs. 80-100# fluoro will essentially eliminate them completely. 130# and above starts to act more like a stiff leader to minimize fouling with jerkbaits etc. Enjoy.

    Selling one of my extremely rare DRT x Studio Composite “For The Beast” JDM-only rods. It’s stunningly gorgeous, pictures don’t do it justice. Carbon fiber grips with DRT varial wrap, custom reel seat, titanium guides spiral wrapped, 7’8” long, and rated Max 10oz.     I should add that the custom rear grip makes this rod 7’9” and it replaces that terrible NRX reel seat with a great Fuji one. You’re right about the action, it’s an absolutely ridiculous jighook style rod with the elite NRX sensitivity. No problem launching a Hudd or Magnum a country mile.
