  1. Congrats Paul! That's a big ole summer time fish.
  2. Guys down south use to swear by the bubblegum trick worm. Haha
  3. I think it would be easier on a resin bait. Drill a small hole at the top closer to the front of the rear joint. Stick a spro power swivel in the hole and fill it in with resin or strong epoxy. Then you could drill another hole behind that just deep enough for a small magnet. Epoxy that in and you have a legit setup. Sounds easy to me but I'm sure some wouldn't feel comfortable doing all that. Just an idea.
  4. I dont have a mold for a lipped bait so I cut it by hand. I can adjust depth accordingly. Deepest I know of is around 15 feet as verified on live scope.
  5. Hey guys I've been making my own baits for about 6 months now. I've been painting around 3-4. I have several different baits that I have yet to mold. Below I'm going to post some versions of my shad and crappie baits. The shad is 5.5 with tail and around 2oz. The crappie is about 7.5 with the tail and around 4oz. I've been painting shads for the majority of my painting "career". I just did my first what I consider to be successful crappie pattern yesterday. Let me know what yall think and if you want to see more pics or keep up with my progress my instagram is @ocmulgee_lures
  6. I actually have a small crappie bait I haven't molded yet. When I do ill make it a glide, crankdown, etc. It's going to be a pretty sweet little bait.
  7. Also send me a PM. I'll make you one of my shad baits for returning that lure.
  8. Pretty solid of you. That's actually a bait I call the hybrid. Haven't made many of those and that's the only only with a Bill Barton paint job.
  9. Yea I made that. Ocmulgee Lures. I know who's bait that is. Let me search real fast
  10. Pm sent on Windmill gill in the background. Hahaha Jk
  11. Glad the bait is working out for you.
  12. Forgot. The eyes are upgraded. Slightly bigger glass eye
  13. Looking to sell this hinkle. Painted by Bill Barton. Has some use but swims amazing. Flying out of town tomorrow so it will ship early next week. Asking $410 shipped priority. Prefer F&F.
  14. Thanks alot. I've spent alot of time working on these and also learning how to paint. My instagram is @Ocmulgee Lures if you are interested in following my progress. Have alot of cool stuff I'll be making.
  15. Thanks Brian. I actually have this bait and several others. Have a similar sized crappie but a slightly thinner profile with silicone fins, a small crappie, a small shad, and a 6" shad ill be working on. So far I've really only messed with this one and this bait I call the Sioxx shad.
  16. I actually have made one of those. I have fished it the most. It isn't painted so it's not pretty. Basically a bone color. But it's been a good producer for me.
