    I know exactly what you mean. Here in Az most of the places I fish from have steep drops maybe that's where my bad info is coming from. If you're fishing from a shallow shore that goes out someways then the knocker would not be effective. Ive only used the retriever once from a bank and it got my bb rigged hudd back.

    It depends on the situation I guess. depth and distance would be the 2 key factors. If its too shallow it might not knock it loose but you still have a chance of snagging your hooks and bending them out to retrieve your lure.

    2 weeks ago I had one on the battles shad bite it twice but spit it out in a split second and then wouldn't commit anymore and just followed the bait along the shoreline, I tried a Vatalion, Shellback customs, and a top water and nothing. I gave the battles shad one more try but instead of a straight retrieve I popped it a few times as it passed him, on the 2nd pass he chomped it. Good luck out there!

    At the moment only Swimbaits because I really want to land my next fish on a Swimbait (1st swimbait fish) , after that I might go back to fishing 50/50 (keitech,senkos,jigs,crankbaits,jerkbaits). I feel like its easier bank fishing swimbiats in general because I only take 2 rods and 2 back up baits. With conventional stuff I'm carrying about 4 rods and jam pack my backpack with everything I think I'm going to need. but I guess that's my fault.

    2017 1- Beat my pb (5.7) 2- Fish way more than twice a month 3- Stop buying baits until I catch fish on what I already own (don't think I will do good with this) 4- Buy a motor for my small boat 5- Learn more about diff factors that can help me find big bass (structure, weather, time of day, and stockings)

    Snagged a brand new Hudd on a tree trunk maybe 6-8ft deep. If its still there during summer time maaaaaaaybe Ill go get it...doubt it tho.
