Finally caught my first swimbait fish, I'm from Delaware so not many people are seen throwing big swimbaits. Caught it on the 6in Huddleston. Not a giant but still a nice fish for around my area, weighed just under 4lbs. Absolutely choked it

Appreciate the advice fellas. As of right now I am on a budget... so will not be spending a lot of money for some of the heavier baits like the DEPS 250. I will most likely go with the Daiwa DX heavy for right now to get a feel for throwing baits that are much bigger than anything I have ever thrown for bass. Sometime down the road I will probably invest in a heavier setup as I gain more experience.

So I am in the process of putting together my first swimbait setup. So far I have a Shimano Cardiff 300A reel and I plan on ordering the Diawa DX swimbait rod, the only thing is I'm not sure if I should go with the heavy or extra heavy. After much research I have been leaning more towards the extra heavy though. I plan on throwing the 9'' MS slammer, 8'' and 6" Hudds. Open to any suggestions you guys might be able to offer.
