Good Morning SU .... haven’t posted anything as of late.... seems trout are the current fall rage.... started this one several weeks ago , put it down for awhile as health issues were nagging...decided to get back on it... a six inch version of a McCloud River Red-Band Trout.... built of Azek ... Createx Transparent paints... weighs approximately 2.8 ounces ....2 coats of Devcon 2-Ton Epoxy top coat... Constructive criticism welcome ... thanks for the opportunity to share... michel.... Stephen not sure why your'e having this issue ....i'm certain it's not making you a Happy Camper....I've got the same Spiralite Rod , Defiant Model.....I also happen to have a Cardiff 301 A....not exactly the same But it should BE...just went to the garage slipped the reel into place rear foot in first screwed the top down NO PROBLEMO....sorry about you're issues certainly sounds frustrating....just though I'd share what is happening for me....Good Luck....michel....Go Fish!!!!

good one Stuart...i use 1/8,1/4 and 3/16...various applications...

Neill I've never poured lead....i use pencil lead that i cut to lengths & insert where needed also use split shot....just never likened to the idea of pouring lead...michel...go Fish!!!

Fun Times Ahead.....Neil , i agree it's tough to find time.....i'm retired ...still tough to find time....currently have 3-5 baits I'm trying to gain traction on...another tool to give thought to is the 1" belt sander (as Chris mentioned) one of the best investments I made early in my bait making , harbor freight ~about $60, it will definitely save time for you....just keep on keepin' on ...michel...Go Fish!!!!
