  1. I might be interested in the ABT, let me know if you are open to split.
  2. Does anybody have the rod weight on the XXH? Thanks in advance!
  3. I have tried several of the Comedians handles on various swimbait and non swimbait reels and have also fished with someone's reel that had a DRt handle installed. Yes, the Gomexus are not at the same level as the DRT. Most of them do have flex and the tolerances are just not the very best. BUT. For the money, they are def an alternative to the DRT. I run the Carbon handle on my 2018 Antares DC MD. And I really like it!! DRT has most definitely thought about doing a more price sensitive version of their handle, produced at higher volumes. They decided against it. I am sure that their margins are better than the ones from Gomexus. As a consumer it is good to have choices. I am not willing to automatically pay a huge premium to DRT for their first to market title.
  4. Thanks for jumping in! VERY interesting to hear you say that they XXH would be overwhelmed with a 6.5oz+ bait!! I am considering the rod for a Deps 250 rod mainly, but would also would like something heavier (Hinkle trout, 10" Mattlures Hammertail).
  5. Does anybody have weights on the XXH LDC SI and the King of Baccarat? Also, anybody know what the action of the XXH LDC is?
  6. Actually, I think you can get the King cheaper from Japan than the XXH LDC.. Just by a few bucks, but still.
  7. Have you considered the LDC XXH? I am in a similar boat and I am thinking about the King and the LDC..
  8. I do have the Poker and use it for larger keitechs, chatterbaits and smaller glides. I have thrown the TK on it as well. Doesnt feel ideal though. Stumbled over a review of @Dink whisperer for the Okuma guide select and just ordered one from TW in XH. Will check it out. Maybe this will do it for a lot less than the King of Baccarat!
  9. Thanks, but two piece is the max I want to go at this point. Anybody any feedback on my Destroyer TS thoughts? THanks!
  10. Hi all, I have been fishing the Megabass TS Destroyer Blackjack for a bit longer than a year now and it is a fantastic do it all rod, that I have used for anything from Rats to the Deps 250. With me getting a bit more experience, I have started to play with the idea to expand my swimbait arsenal and replace the Blackjack with two rods. First rod would be a rod that would be used for precise casting of rats, DRT TK (potentially K9), HPH and something like a 8" magdraft. Reel would be a 2018 Antares DC with some 20-22lb Sunline Shooter Defier Armilo. The second rod would be for anything Deps 250 and above, including some larger single hook soft baits. The reel would be a 2023 Shimano Calcutta Conquest 401. I was thinking to stay in the TS Destroyer line up (I love these rods) and go with a TS Casion and a TS King of Baccarat. Very interested to hear everybody's (first hand?) thoughts on my idea! If there are any other rod recommendations that I should consider, I am all ears. Just love the looks and quality build of the TS Destroyers. Thank you all! -seb
  11. Thanks again! Looks like the 300 size should be plenty for any big bait fishing for bass. The 400 woul provide some better ipt at the end of the cast and some future proofing for bigger saltwater fishing.
  12. May I ask you when you use the 300 and when the 400 size?
  13. Thanks you two! Are there pics available that compare the 300 vs the 400 size MD? I was not able to find any..
  14. Hi all! I am considering putting a new heavier swimbait combo together (rod would be the Destroyer TS King of Baccarat). I will choose on of the new Conquest MD but unsure which size to choose. Are the 300 and 400 size MDs sharing the same body and only differentiate in spool size? I had the 2018 CC in the 400 size as a reference. Is the 400 size MD of the same body size as the 2018? Planning to use #25 FC. Most likely straight FC, but might consider braid to FC (what # test for the braid should I consider?). Planning to throw anything from a deps 250 and up on this combo, with 9# being the max. Thanks all!!
  15. Adding the following baits to the package (at the same price). * Deps 175 * Sebile Swimmer 9 inch * Biwaa Swimpike This is at least another $50 added to this already great deal.
  16. Hi there! Baby is due soon and I need to make some space! I would like to offer a really nice swimbait / glidebait set up that can be used to fish anything from 1oz - 6oz! This is great for fresh water bass fishing but also would make a great salter water set up for Stripers, Halibut or even bigger fish! Included are: Rod: * Dobyns 806 HSB XP ** Great condition. Great rod to throw 8 inch hudds or any other larger swimbait or glide bait up to 6oz. Reel: * Daiwa COASTAL TW 200 ** Great condition, some small scratches, but perfectly working and super smooth ** Spooled with new #20 Sunline FC Sniper Lures: * 6 inch, 1x ROF 5 , Color: March madness * 6 inch, 1x ROF 5 , Color: Perch * Megabass 8 inch magdraft, modified * various other soft swimbaits as shown in picture I would like to offer the hole set for $270, local pick up only (or pay for shipping).
