Liked my crappie pattern godzilla so much I bought a summer gill too. Crappie is a xss and gill is a ss. Awesome baits if you have confidence in throwing it, amazing action on them.
It's awesome. It was a pretty wide glide on a crawl and glides out nice on a pause, you an walk it real tight or do a wide walk, but the most impressive to me is that you can burn it as fast as you can reel and it doesn't blow out at all.
Earlier this spring I messaged Roberto Higueruela about painting me a custom red ear on one of his gill glide baits. Rob was extremely great to deal with and got me taken care of very quickly considering a custom bait coming from across the big pond. The attention to detail is incredible and the finish is the toughest I've seen on a bait. Extremely slow sink and awesome action at any retrieve speed from a crawl to as fast as you can burn it. I love it so much I have him working on a 9" glide in American shad for me now.
This is the picture I sent whim wanting recreated and what we did with it.
And a 4lb spot I caught on it a few weekends ago.
Thanks guys. My brother and I fish out of a Basscat Sabre (his) and a Crestliner 1448 with a 60/40 merc jet (mine). Relatively new to swimbait ingredients but I'm pretty committed to it.
Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Robert and love bass fishing and bird hunting. Here's a pic of a few spots I caught this weekend on a punker and a few of my other toys.
