  1. I’ll throw it when it looks like buzzbait/plopper time. On a clear lake that might mostly be lowlight conditions or rainy days. If it’s a shallow dirty lake could be all day when bites on. You need quality fish shallow and feeding. Close to heavy cover is ideal mainly because that’s where you will find quality bass shallow. Casting angles are same as I would throw a plopper or buzzbait. I’ll try and get close to a bank and make long casts or throw right over thickest wood I can. I’m typically using the spro50 btw.
  2. Multi joints typically are easier to burn and much cheaper. If I want to burn something it’s usually for schooling fish or grass flats. I like a triple trout, bull Shad or benson but a taxi Shad or Chad shad will work too.
  3. Depends what part of Florida you’re in because they northern part has more of a traditional winter while central Florida where I mostly fish it’s basically a fall feed straight to prespawn. Water clarity is the big factor on what works best in the typical tannic water something with some thump like a crankdown or wake is hard to beat in stained water. But there are some really clear lakes and lakes with a ton of hydrilla have clear areas so glides can be good. On clear lakes I’ve caught good fish on an albino phoney it mimics a spawned out tilapia. I’ve also done well a ghost perch Arashi glide. I’m usually throwing my glides around spawning areas or places fry could be hiding like shade. I’ve caught good fish off docks, canals, hard Kissimiee grass lines and pad edges. If you get on a big shallow grass flat and want to cover water a multi joint like a bull Shad does great. I really like a benson too for burning over grass. And in low light I’m usually throwing a spro bbz50 rat where you would a buzzbait.
  4. Funniest part about the chopping action you can do the same thing with a 3 piece at a fraction of the costs. Guys were chopping Triple trouts 20 years ago. molix, Chad Shad, taxi Shad, hph and Doomrider are my favorites
  5. Not a collector I have multiples of baits I like vs variety
  6. Wondering if there is another wave of spawners coming. Got a 6.4 and a small one but bite was off.
  7. Looking to add a few if anyone has some for sale
  8. Different bait but the trick Shad does more of the same stuff as a Chad Shad. The other glides he sells go wide and stable mainly from the tighter joint. The wider glide fits my local lakes better just because the trick Shad is really hot doesn’t mean it’s the best fit for you. That being said I have a few Chad Shad’s and plan on getting a trick Shad eventually.
  9. FYI they also have some Gooniewolfe Goongill bluegill Wakebaits up. Gotta click show more.
  10. It’s a timing thing lots of guys still broke from gathering and it’s a big drop. I’m sure there will be more drops coming with gathering leftovers.
  11. Prices don’t drop to nothing like with those but definitely fluctuate. Baits that are available on sites all the time end up hype baits you can’t find. Baits that guys pay double retail or more on end up widely available below retail when supply catches demand. I haven’t paid over retail on anything and never plan too. I wonder how many guys paid way over retail for a bait they never used then they ended up widely available for retail or less. I think you’re going to see that soon with chad Shad’s.
  12. Swimbait reviews has a vid on the 255. I ordered one looking forward to trying it. I lm going to get some 170s to try eventually.
  13. That’s funny I actually had a Chad Shad blank I layed in my window a week to turn yellow/bone. I prefer the bone over white personally. I ended up getting it painted but eventually I’ll get a bone spro Chad for dirty water.
  14. You can also use zappu float boards and get any glide to suspend.
  15. Same thing on one of mine and it swam fine fwiw.
  16. Yeah someday hopefully, I’m just lucky to have several KGB ones till then, I messed up not buying more of the perch ones when I had the chance. I could have made a lot of $$
