I found some nail transfer foil that is popular in japan. I was using it on cranks and jerkbaits years ago. I have a ton of it left over if you want to mess with it? Have some pretty cool patterns too.

Ok guys I have a question for you. I acquired a gift certificate from a tournament this last weekend worth $250 from a local rod builder. What is a recommended blank you guys would build off of for throwing 250s and hudds? I looked at the phenix blanks but was getting kinda confused on what to get. Any help is appreciated. Trust me I'd much rather just order a LDC but kinda have to go this route. Thanks

Went out and threw the 230 ( purchased thru the black market) on an old road bed that always holds decent fish this time of year. This is only my second time out with a glide bait, I'm a rookie. Needless to say I was pleasantly surprised. I ended up with another smaller fish on a 6" baby line thru too. You guys now have another addict on the loose.

The 2 lakes I'm concentrating on typically develop a thermocline around 12-15'. One is about 135 acres and an average depth of 8'. They stock about 12,000 trout in October. The other is a 400 acre lake. A ton of 9" crappies and 12-14" carp. Shocking reports/studies showed 5 fish over 10 pounds in one area. Our state record is 10.12. Guess it's a good goal to shoot for.

Ok guys, been studying up and working towards acquiring a few baits to get comfortable with. My question is about hudds in warm water. It seems that most guys are throwing them fall, winter and early spring. Am I just not seeing info about throwing them in the summer? Or do other baits just work better in the summer? I have been throwing bull gills, mini slammers and johnny rats but wanted to get into glides and hudds. Any suggestions are appreciated. Keep in mind that no one throws big baits around here. Thanks.

Growing up in central Wisconsin I had numerous bass catches day and night on the mouldeys hawg wobbler as mentioned earlier. I still have a black one I use for night fishing here and do pretty good with it. Don't forget about the magnum musky sized jitterbugs too. We had lots of accidental bass catches with those also.
