It always blows my mind when I see guys in other states catch 15 to 20 fish on swimbaits in one trip. In the beginning I used to think wtf is wrong with me? Lol I'd love to see some guys come to my waters and sling a big bait all day. You're gonna be looking at single digit numbers and most likely under 5 fish. And that's assuming they're on a boat. Do it from shore and you'd be lucky to catch 1 fish. It's a grind where I'm at

I've never fished the older version. I only own a trick gill and it is a very stable and reactive glide. I haven't put too much time in it yet but I really like what I've seen so far

Trick gill is different. And if u like balanced and choppy gills, check out @Jinxd12 gills. On ig it's bmc.bait.co

Bass here are close to going deep so I'm trying to get em while I still can. This is becoming my favorite bait. Great drawing power.

Thanks guys, I feel a lot better. I might just cut it off for now, fish it, and then deal with it after trout season. In the pic below I circled the guide. It doesn't seem like it would affect performance at all but I just wanted to ask here fir everyone's thoughts

So the dobyns 908 xp has 13 guides total. The 4th guide from the bottom needs to be replaced. The ceramic insert popped off and its gone. There are 6" between the bad guide and the guide on top of it. And there are 6" between the bad guide and the guide below it. My question is, if I just cut off the bad guide there'd be a 1 ft gap between 2 guides, will it affect the performance? My local shop gave me a 3 to 4 week lead time before they can work on my rod. This rod is mainly for striper and throwing huge baits like the mattlures 13" deadtwitch. So can I fish this rod for the winter season if I just cut off the bad guide for the time being, and get it replaced later on? Keep in mind if I cut it off, there's still 3 guides on the bottom, then there'd be a 1 ft gap, then 9 guides to the tip

U can still use them wherever u are. He uses beefy hooks too. They will hold up just fine

We found a big school boiling and took full advantage. Finnbaits dash shad and little grandpa took care of business In the last video the fish rolled and my line hung up on the back hook. I grabbed the line to land it by hand because my brother had the net to land his own fish. Although the fish was exhausted it had one last run and snapped my line and swam off with my little grandpa Also a bonus small jaw on the dash shad. It was a fun day GOPR0003_1698005546171.MP4 GOPR0005_1698005934564.MP4 GOPR0006_1698007224370.MP4 GOPR0007_1698007540345.MP4

Few people asked the same. I just upgraded to an xxh of the same lineup. I have bigger rods for striper but they are setup different, specifically for striper. I only started to throw bigger baits in the 6-8 oz range for largemouth this year and certain baits like the ufo mothership needed a bigger rod. It is much better with the xxh. And anything I threw on the xh can be thrown on the xxh so I don't need the xh. And anything 4-5 oz can be used with my heavy rod. So instead of collecting dust I rather move it to someone who can use it.

Along with the ones already mentioned, I'd recommend micro mink, nez, sneaky, sac pig and illude zombies. All attainable at decent prices aside from the sneaky
