I caught one last year around this time of year with a swollen head. People were telling me they get like that during spawn so I just assumed it went on thru late summer too

It's around their spawn so these channels are fattening up. This was a pretty crazy bite. I casted out and backlash a little in the wind. As I was fixing my backlash something blew up hard. Then when it processed in my mind that the blow up is around where my bait landed, I lifted my rod and it was just loaded. So the cat smashed it while it was just dead sticking out there.

Mode glide for trade. Mine is a heavy float if u use light hardware. Heavier hardware makes it xss/ss I'd like to trade it for another mode glide that is a stronger floater. While being fished, need it to float back up to surface when paused. Natural color preferred. Pm if you're interested. NFS -
