    Yea I’m very familiar with the site but most hardgills are out of stock and I was just trying to see if anyone had any they wanted to let go or sell for a decent deal. If I don’t see any replies I will probably end up buying a strong gill of the site. Thanks for the reply though!

    Hey guys, I'm not sure if this is a lost cause, but I'm looking to buy a Matt Lures Hardgill and or Magnum Strong Gill. I prefer the slow sinking models but will consider anything if its a good deal, also any color in the Hardgill works and any color but crappie in the Magnum works. If anyone has any of these you can PM me or reply on this post whatever works best for you. Thanks in advance! - Mark

    Thanks for the replies everyone, I have a better idea of which rod to go with now. Also it was my mistake to put the deps 250 in my post as it is very unlikely I will be throwing anything above 5 oz for a while at least. My most sincere apologies to "BigSlant" as I forgot humans weren't allowed to make mistakes; typos happen but I'll try my hardest to be more careful

    Hey guys, I'm new to the forums and swimbait game but am looking to buy my first rod in the coming weeks. I've been reading up a lot and have read many threads on here regarding rod choices but have a specific question. I'm deciding between the Diawa DX 8 foot heavy swimbait rod, and the Dobyns Fury 8 foot heavy swimbait rod. I've watched tons videos and read tons of reviews praising both of them but can't decide which I should go with. In the future I will be throwing anything from an S-waver 168 and Hudd 68 weedless, to a Hudd 8 inch trout and a Deps 250. Both are rated for 2-8oz which is the range I want. So i'm asking if anyone has advice on which to go with that knows of these rods or has experience with them. Thanks in advance! Mark

    Hey guys, I figured I would just comment on this post rather than make a new one based on the same topic. Ben is a good friend of mine and he is the one who got me thinking about getting into throwing big baits. It's awesome to see that there are fellow New Yorkers in this game that are so willing to share information and tips so I thank you for that. I plan on becoming a very active member of this forum and to learn everything I can as fast as I can, Ben and I will be dedicating a lot of our time chasing after some true brutes! Tight lines, Mark
