  1. Maybe a dry silicone spray.
  2. My bullgill and G2 shellcracker and a 40 spro rat is all I need for the ponds.
  3. Should be great hopefully you get a giant.
  4. Thank you I wasn’t sure when I ordered it but it turned out great.
  5. I would say the bass pro crankin stick 7’3 heavy it’s rated to 2 oz. Its actually my dedicated g2 shellcracker rod.
  6. Thanks man I only have 10 hours on the motor. But it’s been very impressive so far.
  7. I don’t know what I did but here’s a picture.
  8. After years of waiting I finally got my bird. I got it late last season. So I’m still adding some things but here it is. 2023 Phoenix 819 pro.
  9. That’s why I passed I really don’t throw anything that heavy anymore.
  10. I was more thinking after ice out when it’s cold. Otherwise I do use one all summer and fall
  11. Im talking about bullgills hard gills should I wait to actually see some hills on the bank? Or say screw it and slowly crawl them out deep. The current water temperature is in the low 40s
  12. Maybe I’ll focus on the 200 I don’t throw it very often at all.
  13. Thanks for the recommendations everyone.
  14. I’ve been trying them on and off for a few years I’ve caught 2 dinks on the 168. Nothing on the 200. I actually fished a 168 today for a few hours not even a follower.
  15. I don’t fish glide baits nearly enough all I have are a bunch of S Wavers 168 & 200s and 3 shine and glide. Here’s my thoughts I’m thinking about selling all of my cheaper glides and just buying 3 expensive ones to focus on. What should I buy I want to keep it 3oz and under. I was already thinking about a bullshad glide. I would really like a KGB Crappie but they are a little too big for my gear.
  16. Unfortunately it didn’t go as planned we didn’t go as there was a significant snow storm.
  17. I would say the Dobyns 806 would be a good rod to cover your needs pair it with a tatula 200 and your set. I also fish northern illinois and se wisconsin.
  18. I’m going camping with my son this weekend the ice just came off and I have very limited time maybe a few hours all weekend space for rods and reels and baits. This lake has very large bass but I’m limited to shore line fishing. So mostly shallow water I don’t have any soft huds. Should I focus on wakes rats slammer g2 ? Or would swimmers like bull gill or hard gills be a better choice. Or glide baits I only have S wavers 178s and 200s. Out of my bait options what bait would you focus on? thanks for taking the time to read this and your response is appreciated.
  19. I’ll agree with that if I reeled super super slow it would stay down. I’ll definitely try it slow and fast once the water warms up a bit more.
  20. I just tried my slow sink and it looks like it’s going to be my new wake bait. Hopefully my medium sink gills stay down.
  21. Last season I threw my 6” bullgills on 17lb mono but was thinking about bumping it up to 20. Going to use the same set up for my hard gills.
