Honestly it's something you'll have to play with a bit. Both my mothers are different and i had to tune differently, with wood baits there can be differences in float that you'll have to figure out. I run heavier ST-46 on one of em and some ST-36 on the other, but they are both 2/0 hooks. One of em ive even done double splits to add some weight and make it harder to throw a hook.

Cool part is, when doing your own, you can add colors and play around with it. I use a bit of chartreuse in my gill hooks. Play around with placement too. Certain baits i will just do up front since bass are head-shooting the bait, others both. Just find what works for you.
