  1. Word, man I had no idea. The hammertail shad has been on my bucket list, glad I heard this quick review.
  2. Isn't it just a standard, multi-joint swimmer? Seems like it'd be hard to mess that up too bad. Agreed on the looks, all his shad baits are some of the most realistic paint jobs I've ever seen.
  3. I too am in the "side-sweep and reel" hookset on hard baits with trebles camp. But on soft baits with Butch-rigged or stinger trebles I'm hammering it home. Probably because I think on soft baits the fish inhale it so it's hard to pull the bait away from them on the hookset, whereas in my experience they don't inhale hard baits, they tend to bump/pop/smack/mouth them, so you actually can pull it away from them if you rip it on the set. My 2 cents, your mileage may vary. Good luck OP.
  4. Christmas season's here! BNIB 250 in Cotton Candy, never opened. Asking $95 OBO TYD. PayPal ready. Thanks SU!
  5. When I first got into big baits a few years ago I went all savgae Gear ( budget fisherman trying to get in cheap)--still getting bit, and the Shine is my favorite glide. Thanks man--the Klash baits are so much fun to fish, I definitely see what all the hype is about.
  6. The heat of the summer was a slow bite for me; things didn't pick up until about mid-September when the fall eat started. Got a few good ones during those weeks on the TK, Shine Glide, Boogie Back and pulse-tail gill. Apologies for the photo dump, I haven't had time to sit down and post each one.
  7. You got a pic of this? I'm tryna envision "duct tape some zip tie rings to the end"
  8. Can't say it any better so I'll just second, and add: as other replies before me stated, Dan you're a big part of the value this site provides. I can only hope as I become more knowledgeable and experienced I'll give a fraction of what you've given back to the community. Cheers, brother, and God bless.
  9. "They just got done stocking the river again." Dude this blew my mind; I had no idea they stock rivers. I thought that was just a pomd/lake thing. Learn somethin new every day. Nice brown, beautiful fish.
  10. Saw your write-up on TW, good info. 6-inch versions still fully stocked on TW for anyone interested.
  11. Geez, freaking TANK! And from shore too, nice hunting man.
  12. What a chunk, 17"?? Thing looks like it weighs 6lb easy, nice stick man!
  13. I'm the same as these; I've had the original bottle for two years now, only used it a handful of times, no drying issues. I had no idea you're supposed to even keep it cool, it's sitting right now in my fishing bag in the garage (NW Illinois, so freezing winters and 90+° summers, it's still as good as new).
