Definitely comes through rocks and docks better than a bottom hook. Swims very nice at anything from crawl to slow retrieves. It's got head shake, body roll and tail flash. So far, I'm liking it. Big plus too, the eyes haven't fallen out like some higher priced softies. Here's a couple of quick one hand drags with phone video. 20231223_150131.mp4

Had a friend toss me this yesterday. Hoping to get a few minutes later this afternoon to test it. Love the top hook concept when creepin / bottom crawling, and I've never had a magdraft that didn't lean. Hoping this might be a good one. Merry Christmas!

Hello, I've come to the conclusion that I'm probably never going to throw these. Never thrown, painted by Bubonic. Very flashy. I can ship Monday. Shoot me some offers. Paypal F&F or cover fees please. I've seen these sell for strong prices here lately, so please understand if I dont respond to any lowball offers. Thanks! Clay

What are the best soft plastic swim baits around?
grumbler replied to Brian Carr's topic in The Underground
I have a friend who loves magdrafts but all of the ones I buy seem to be not that great. They seem to not fish balanced and seem to have a lot of issues, never had one that really swam perfectly like some people I know have. --- Me and this dude ^^^ seem to have identical experiences with the dang drafts. -
I want to clarify, stiff parabolic to not quite halfway up blank, then it's pure power.

The dream freak to me is a stiff, almost, parabolic. It's a 10/0 or 12/0 beast hook soft bait machine for 8"-10" softies. It will throw hardbaits up to its rated 8oz no problem. It just feels like a better jig hook rod to me, personally.

I've got 2. Very good rods that feel very well-made and durable, but not overly heavy in hand. Just a good, solid feel. They seem to run a few more guides per rod than other manufacturers. Not a good or bad thing for me, just something I noticed. They're double-footed all the way up on the swimbait rod I have. The two rods I've got are- 710xh dream freak & 7'6" blade freak
