    I agree with letting the bait sit before starting your retrieve. I have had several blowups with the bait dead sticking near cover.

    I hope the possum picked up some luck on it's trip! I fished it 3-4 outings and had one hit on the crank down. Was a small one that really only grabbed the tail. Thanks for sharing a picture and hope you catch one!

    Mattlures has a deep version of the meathead and mini meathead that are supposed to push that 10' depth. I have not fished one so can't give you any tips or suggestions.

    I got some in yesterday. Weedless shiner and chaddletail. I'm very excited to throw them! It sure seems like hookup percentage will be good and durability should be off the chart.

    Big fan of Hawgtech, but it's hard to beat the Daiwa handles for the price. I don't love the big knobs, but mine is smooth!
