  11. Hey SU, I’m the market for a setup to throw the 250, andromeda, k9, tyrant, and battleshad 7.5. I know it a variety lol. Have been going back and forth between the Leviathan XH and the LDC XH. Obviously price being a factor too. Would like to hear what you guys are doing. Seems like the leviathan is definitely more suited for trebles from what I’ve heard and the LDC can kind of do it all. Haven’t held either of them in person so just speaking from what I’ve seen/heard, would like to see what those with these rods think?
  12. See I was thinking of doing something very similar. Boat will be kept outside but I did get a cover. Just want to get the most life out of it
  13. Hey SU, not entirely swimbait related, but working on building out my 14ft aluminum jon boat for fishing and was looking for some help when it comes to sealing the deck of the boat. I’m going to be using marine grade plywood and carpet on the deck but don’t know what to use to seal the wood for the best and most budget friendly option as well as quickest to get this thing on the water. I have local to me Home Depot and Lowe’s so something I can get at at hardware store like those would be ideal. Appreciate any help! Hope to be out on the water with the vessel soon!
  14. Ended up getting hooked up with an ultrex from a good buddy but it needs some work. Going to take it to the trolling motor doctor in socal and get it dialed. Thing is going to absolutely move that boat! Build is coming along great as well! I’ll share it all when we are closer to the end.
  15. If you want to pick up spare parts, I think short lip and v tail is by far the best way to fish it. Can either crank it or jerk it or walk it. Absolute fish catcher
  16. Here’s my build so far. Base is a 1996 Valco 14ft V hull aluminum boat. Started out not too bad but with a couple leaks. As of today she is sealed up to phase 2. Started with JB Marine Weld in all the obvious holes and along the bottom seams, then let that cure and went ahead and flex sealed over that and all the bottom rivets to ensure teh bottom is completely sealed up. My final phase is going to be later this week where I rhino line the bottom on the outside to get into all the little cracks and grooves and give the boat that little added protection. Anyone have any suggestions? Planning to use the bases of the original seats as part of the frame for the main deck and back deck on the inside. Have also gone ahead and cleaned out the inside and flex sealed all the holes, seams, and the rivets once again but this time from the inside (not pictured). Thanks for following along and for all the suggestions. She’s come a long way but still has a ways to go. Appreciate any suggestions, support, and constructive criticism SU!
  17. Here’s the vessel. Got it for a steal! Definitely going to need so love. If anybody knows how to get this trailer registered in CA without paperwork please let me know! Thanks SU! Excited to share the build
  18. This was extremely helpful and was a lot to consider. Just picked up the boat yesterday and getting started on it this week
  19. Appreciate the help and feedback. Definitely going to pick up the one I found then because it’s a steal. Cant wait to rig this thing out and share it with everyone. Big bass definitely incoming
  20. I found a 24v 70lb thrust trolling motor I was looking at for the front of mine. Would something like this be too overpowering? I’m planning to use it in lakes and bays. Thanks for the help! I also was thinking about the transom motor. Great suggestion I’m definitely going to look into as well. Thanks a ton brother! And what’re your thoughts on the one I’m looking at?
