    The rod definitely lends itself more towards treble hook baits. Haven’t tried fishing a soft bait on it

    The removable handle hasn’t fazed me one bit. It fishes no different than a one piece rod at all. I’d recommend it!

    I’m liking it! I feel personally like the ghost is around the upper end of what the rod can handle comfortably but I can overhand it no problem so it definitely handles it. I have a conquest 401 on it and it balances out very well. Very comfortable to fish. I’m definitely happy with my choice!

    Oh I meant the bait is 6.25 oz. The fish was 6 pounds 10 oz. Sorry for the confusion. Love all the toxics

    My biggest fish of the year in 2022 was on the full size toxic trucha wake 10” and 6.25 oz I think

    See honestly I’ve found the opposite. If I catch one I usually can grind out another. The first that night was a 6+ and I told myself if I kept going I’d catch another. Ended up definitely being the case haha

    35 was over the course of the whole year just to be clear hahaha I did catch a 30 sack in one night on the Sherpa crawler tho

    I am too. Got a 7-11 and a 7-14 last year. Very happy about that but want the 8 this year.

    Ben at LDC was very informative with his responses and helped answer a lot of my questions. The website is correct in saying all the grip lengths are 16” (duh) and he recommends the xxh for the baits I plan to throw on the new rod. Still making my decision but figured I’d update the thread with the answers I was given.

    What’s up SU I’m looking for a rod to handle the ghost with ease as well as bomb a 250 and full size trucha. I am leaning towards the LDC 8’6” xxh standard issue but I saw on his website the handle is only 16”. His site had that handle length listed for all of the models regardless of total length which seemed like it could be incorrect. I know the standard issue rods are brand new but if anyone has experience with either model it would be appreciated!
