  1. Some bass glide catches from this year. I’m gonna be starting some new baits soon, looking for info on how specific weight placings affect the action of glide baits. Up to this point I’ve just been weighting them until they suspend/slow sink so I had no idea how they were going to swim until actually threw them. Just don’t want to spend a lot of time making a pretty bait that ends up swimming like butt. Also, I still have no idea how to clear coat, I’ve literally been using clear JB weld. Pretty that’s not how the pros do it. Any info is appreciated really. Will post again soon with new baits.

    2x2 rat

Easy rat I made from some 2x2, haven't decided how I want to paint it yet, but I guess wood is a good color.
  5. Yeah I defiantly botched that first KBS coat, hope it turns out better the second time around.
  6. I've tried two clear coats so far, the first was a thin coat of cheap two part epoxy, and the second was some old KBS diamond(one coat). With both I had the same problem, starting around the hook rash areas the clear coat would peel taking the paint underneath with it. I didn't do much surface prep before painting, just sanded the bait(sealed with liquid super glue), and then wiped it with a little acetone, then the clear coats went directly onto the paint. Looking back the KBS coat was not done well, I only did one coat, and the can had been sitting for over a year, I've order a new pint.
  7. Made a shad glide, works great, but I cant seem to find a clear coat that will hold up to more then 3 fish. Really need some advice on clear coating or any other tips.
